To me, Perry has a "IT" factor that Jarren does have guys
Yeah really the second coming of DorseyPerry has another "IT" factor that Jarren does not have
I understand, but if you give your defense a lead late in the game and they give up a TD and/or your DC puts the team in a bad coverage on 4th & 17 then who's to blame?I’m going to always disagree with this position on this board. Im of the belief that a starting QB can never do enough to win if we lose... . especially if they only scored 1 to 2 TDs in the process and we lost by only 3 or 4 points in each game.

We had 3 redzone opportunities to seal a win against Florida and we didn't. Jarren holds on to the ball to long. Perry should be starting the rest of season. Offensive side of ball has seen some life since he step in. Diaz can't preach competition and not display it. Kosi has done nothing but put this team in position to win and close out game with extending drives and play making ability. To be fare, Jarren did enough to to beat UNC and perhaps Florida. I do agree that Diaz is of the mindset to take his lumps this year playing the guys he sees as the future because there's no reason Zion Nelson should be starting. Diaz has substituted everywhere except for Zion. Even if he is the best option, you have to give the guys behind him an opportunity to see what they do in a game situation because Zion isn't getting it done.
Williams has completed over 70% of his passes. Perry has a career percentage hovering around 60%. Other than the first quarter against VT, Williams has shown much better decision making and touch on his throws than Perry.
It's not even close.
Yeah, Kosi's 182 yard performance against UVA was clearly superior quarterbacking because the defense only gave up 9 points. Come on. You have to separate the player from the team in evaluation.I’m going to always disagree with this position on this board. Im of the belief that a starting QB can never do enough to win if we lose... . especially if they only scored 1 to 2 TDs in the process and we lost by only 3 or 4 points in each game.
One sport that you don't want to tank in is College Football. I just think he shows favoritism towards Jarren over Kosi. Why? Who the **** knows? Is if he is tanking the season, conceding that this season is a loss and needs the excuse of playing a sub par QB who is a “freshman” still learning every little detail about what it takes to be a QB.
Not starting N’kosi Perry at the beginning of the season already cost us 3 games. Jarren hasn’t beaten a Power 5 team in his career and his performance against Bethune and Central Michigan shouldn’t give anyone confidence that he is capable of getting a Power 5 win this season.
Diaz’s decision this week will decide how the rest of the season will play out and the type of excuses we are going to hear from the coaching staff trying to explain away the **** show we are going to witness the rest of the season if Jarren Williams ever starts again on this team.
You know how hard it is to stand out as the absolute worst person on this whole board in this expansive sea of dumbasses? OP is very impressive.
The ONLY reason I can see for Manny leaving the hot hand and going back to JW now is that he doesn't want to accept that he may have made a mistake
JW gave us his best and performed adequately.....while being very good his efforts still were NOT enough. This is no knock against JW because he was learning on the job
BUT Kosi is obviously the hot hand now and has rallied the team when it needed it the most,....... you prove nothing by going back to JW. It's taking a big chance when you have someone who is obviously clicking now on a moribund offense and going back to status quo
So why do it?
Swallow your pride and give us what we want the most WINS.......we could GAF about your ego now.
We want to win NOW!!!
Yea that explains starting Patchan over Greg in the first 5 gamesContrary to what many think in here, Manny and company want to win and will play who they think gives us the best chance to do so. Fans always like to overcomplicate things and think they know more than the guys watching this team daily.
I hope Perry is that guy, but I guess we'll see. He could get injured next practice and Jarren gets the nod. It doesn't even have to be public and often isn't. Nobody wants to tank a game though.
Agree, but I'm not sure there is a "fix" this year.Fix the O line and they should be interchangeable.
Well by that logic Tate has something like an 80% career completion percentage.Williams has completed over 70% of his passes. Perry has a career percentage hovering around 60%. Other than the first quarter against VT, Williams has shown much better decision making and touch on his throws than Perry.
