You are implementing a new system, with new staff, new players, not your players, you can only do so much. But the one thing you can control is to get what you have to either play above or below their talent level. That's it! If you can get a mediocre group to exceed their abilities, then you may just have something. If not, it doesn't matter what players eventually walk through the door.

Do you see hope here?

No. He has much better players than all the teams who beat us this year. That should tell you what you need to know.
 
Also you have to remember that he is not strange to half of those players and the defense has not change from before. So "you are implementing a new system" is not entirely true.

In full agreement. It was a comment on a new coach in general. In Manny's case, yes, it's even worse as they are his players.

Hmmmm.....Butch was a 1st time HC (at any level) minus-31 schollies...No TV or Bowl...No Brand New IPF etc..How'd that turn out??....NO EXCUSES
