The Ole Miss Thread

DL is going to have to be patient and not get too far upfield and let Chambliss scramble while also generating enough pressure to ensure he doesn’t have time to throw to those receivers. On offense - run the ball, eat clock, keep defense fresh. Passing game will also be there.

Will be a great battle of different styles.

Does the NCAA really want a team whose coach left them prior to the playoffs to win it all, just for all those players to transfer to LSU? Also - the portal opens - do some of those players announce it now? So weird lmao

Their defensive and offensive coordinators are still there and they just beat Ga. Put down whatever you are smoking.

UGA lost to Bama. They let their QB get his brains scrambled by a mediocre DL. They arent what you are building them up to be. stop sucking off the SEC. They weren’t scary.

Some of that is pace of play.
Ole Miss purposely creates a lot of plays. And then has a very explosive offense. So by going fast and gaining lots of yards in single plays, you create more plays run against your defense. When more plays are run, your defense is going to give up more points and yards just from sheer volume of opportunity.
They are 50th in yppa, 84th in ypca, 28th in ypaa, 64th in ypcompletiona.

Their defense stinks

I’m kinda leaning to mario tough and phizical ball being the way. Control time of possession to not let them have the ball and run tempo. Contain chambliss
We will need to attack them and then once we have the game in hand go to caveman ball. I think we will dominate the trenches against them but they will put some points up. This is a game Beck can throw for 300.

Ole Miss is a MUCH MORE talented SMU.

We should not be scared of them, but they present unique challenges, especially if we don’t show up with the same chip on our shoulder that we’ve had for over a month.

I have faith in Mario and the leaders on the team to not let everyone consume the rat poison. We’re on a mission and Ole Miss is the next obstacle. I don’t care how it looks — just win.
