The Ole Miss Thread

Might need to play some tight coverage this week to take away the short stuff and make him hold onto the ball.
I’d press them to death. If we get beat over the top so be it.

I’ve watched a lot of UGA this year. Their DL ain’t what you would think it is based on their history. If we can force Chambliss to hold the ball even a fraction longer than they are used to our guys should get home. UGA had to send major pressure to get him off rhythm. We don’t have to do that. We obviously can, but we can create pressure with 4.

We aren’t going to stop them for four quarters. We just aren’t. No one can. Gotta win our spots, and convert on offense. Stockton had time today for the most part. They were routinely gashed up the gut. Long methodical drives and a few 3 and outs on defense, keeps their offense out of rhythm. That was Kirby’s mistake on that fourth down attempt. They were hot, absolutely rolling and he gave the ball back on a short field. Just keep them on the sidelines as much as possible needs to be our offensive recipe.

Intriguing matchup to say the least. Suddenly we are the only blue blood left in the field, and we were dog**** for the better part of 20 years.

Also, Ole Miss WILL be favored. They have the better record, and the flashy QB who played out of his mind, and are an SEC team who are having a magical run under the most bizarre circumstances.
We’re not a blue blood.

Ole Miss hasn't seen a defense like this b/c there's no defense close to Miami's in the SEC. There just isn't. Oklahoma is closest but they're not close. Ole Miss won't score more than 20 points against Miami. And, Ole Miss' defense hasn't seen an OL like this either. I think this game will look similarly to a Chip Kelly led Oregon facing an SEC team. Ole Miss may have a few moments but will be physically overwhelmed.

Georgia has a top 10 defense and ole miss just scored 37 on them.

I've watched Georgia a lot this season. Statistics are one thing. Is Georgia a real top 10 defense? **** no. Ole Miss scored 35 on them earlier this season. I'm not surprised Ole Miss scored a lot on Georgia again. Georgia has no pass rush and their secondary is suspect.

UGA is a shell of itself and inferior to Miami in every respect , yet despite all the Chambliss miracles, UGA would have won the game if they simply run the ball near the goalline. Smart kept Ole **** in the game with his horrendous decision making. So I don’t quite understand why Miami fans are more scared of Ole Miss when a poorly coached team with zero pass rush and mediocre OL were 3 yards away from sending them home.

Their defensive and offensive coordinators are still there and they just beat Ga. Put down whatever you are smoking.
They might not be there with the portal opening up. Their AD said he isnt sure if the 6 coaches Lane is taking with him will coach in the next round. We will see how they handle that. Either way, I know Miami will be ready for whoever is lined up across from us on January 8th.
