Bit strange. Curious to see if Day is more/less conservative than Hartline was with Sayin wrt throwing the ball vertically
I think Day made the right decision on this but it’s definitely a little awkward. Most of the OSU fans I've talked too are very happy about this
This OSU team is very beatable. Our trenches are considerably better than IUs and they were consistently getting pressure on Sayin. It doesn't matter how good your receivers are if the qb can't get the ball out effectively.
Quite a few times OSU was getting home with only rushing 3 or 4, but I don't think they're gonna have the same success on FM unless they commit more to the rush.Agree. Curry is the only guy that scares be on that front 4. He's better than Howell and FM will have his hands full. I don't think Jackson is that great. Malone is a guy we were after out of the portal. McDonald is a real space eater. I think we can run on them but it will be tough sledding.
After watching some film, a couple weak spots jumped out at me. The right side of their line (particularly at RG) is weak. Their CBs gave up more big plays than they should have against IU and some others.
In the IU game, Mendoza was pretty fleet footed around the pocket - his athleticism definitely helped him in some cases where Beck's will not.
Well it’s like when the fanbase of a struggling offense always loves the backup QB. I don’t think Day calling plays changes things much. They lost to IU and the offense didn’t look great so the idea of a new play caller is the new shiny toy.I think Day made the right decision on this but it’s definitely a little awkward.
he's accurate but he's softWe hit that little kid they got at QB and we come out with the W
Is this satire?Really wish this game was another night... Bought tickets to the Stranger Things finale in theaters at this same time. Will be with you guys in spirit!

Curry is legit, he's the one i worry will cause some problems. Miami can get after their Oline and if they can cause pressure, get to sayin Miami has a real chanceAgree. They were ranked #1 or 2 coming into the season wtf are you talking about. When you are ranked that high, you have championship expectations. It's a young team and they lost 14 draft picks last year. Only a few players had any meaningful role in last year's title run (starters: Downs, Sonny Styles, Jeremiah/Tate, Igbinosun, Hinzman, and Tegra), so there is no real advantage there for Ohio State vis a vis the rest of the playoff field. Next year was the year that most fans targeted as a national championship run coming into the season with Sayin in his second year, entire OL back, Jeremiah's last year, etc.
Ya they’ll certainly have more fans but we’re going to have a nice showing for this one (relative to our road crowds of course).
Not going to be an OSU “home game” like some of these people think.
