The Official Eat Crow and Thank Manny Diaz Thread

Even with a couple overpursuits and a missed tackle on the edge, today was perhaps the defense's most impressive 4 quarter display.

I think they could've gotten a shutout today if the offense didn't try any and everything to make sure it didn't happen.

Nobody wanted him gone last year.

Question: How many years of incompetence is enough for fans to want a coach gone?
Never argue with one of the Kevins. They’re the message board manifestation of the three headed grizzly that left our poor Daniel incontinent and 47% more susceptible to various flu strands. A Kevin and a Keyboard are nary as they first appear.

Hey wait a second... sounds like you’ve been around here more than 2 months!

You mean BC, not NC,,right?..

To be fair, this is true...

We are defiantly going over the top with praise in a likely attempt to compensate for the **** show that is our Offense.

Diaz has done a pretty good job, love our guys like Quan on D.

I’ve watched Diaz all the way back to his MTSU days and I knew he’d do a great job here. His years at Texas weren’t great but that program was headed downward before he got there and it takes 2-3 years for his style to be dominant. He deserves a HC gig. If he goes, the first call should be to DJ Durkin.

manny is improving and adjusting. last year our defensive third down conversions were horrible. he improved this dramatically. last year he was sending fire blitzes from players outside of the stadium, this year they were closer to the LOS.

no problem with manny.

Some people get mad that the defense doesn't shut out every opponent. No matter how many times turnovers or poor punting gives the opponent great field position.

The Pitt game was the perfect example of how good the defense is when the offense doesn't turn the ball over multiple times and the punters actually do their jobs.

The only game this season where I could say the defense played poorly was BC. Even then, they tightened down in the second half.

I’ll eat crow when he officially hires a top notch OC (like Fedora), and brings in an experienced guy to run the D. Until then , we all have the right to be guarded . The last 20 years have not been easy . We all have some form of PTSD
