THE OFFICIAL BRINGBUTCHBACK THREAD

For Real though, Does anyone know the details of Al Golden's contract? I mean, how much will it cost to buy him out? How much to buy out the Coordinators? This is something that we NEED to know, so we know who we'd even have a shot a signing. Because if the buyout is expensive, we'd have less to pay a potential replacement.
Dude anybody! Hear me Mr. I know Contracts and fine points, Anybody who is hired can be fired! There is no reason Al should be HC on Monday!

From what I've been told, his buyout will probably be somewhere around 3.5 million dollars. (30%)

Obviously this ****** guy isnt gettin it done. Honestly, i thought the buyout was higher than that. That seems do-able. WTH is the **** BOT waiting for then?

He had a lot of leverage when he signed his extension. It could very well be up to around 4 million dollars. The athletic department doesn't really have that type of money to throw around and go out and hire an expensive coach. That's why Butch is the answer.

So they would have to pay for the buyout and how much of his salary for the yrs left on the contract?

After tonight, that hot seat has got to be at an 8 minimum. Im hoping its higher than that but that ***** gotta be hot and smoking.

110% ALL IN WITH BUTCH.....BUT I DO RECALL A BANNER.... "CHAMPS TO CHUMPS....THANKS BUTCH" CIRCLING THE OB DURING HIS LATER YEARS AS HC......I SEE HIM FLIPPIN' THE SCRIPT..... "CHUMPS TO CHAMPS....THANKS BUTCH".....

I CAN'T HRLP BUT WONDER IF SHALALA WAS THE ONLY HURDLE IN HIS PATH BACK TO THE U......?

He makes 2.5 million dollars a year. He has 5 years remaining on his contract. 5 times 2.5 million equals 12.5 million. Most buyouts are paid off in percentages with it usually being in the 10-30% depending on how much leverage the coach had at the time. So assuming it's at the high end of 30%, the school would have to pay him 3.75 million dollars to not coach. That's how much it would take to pay him and how that would be split over the years I don't know. The buyout covers all the admin would have to pay him in its entirety of the contract.

3.5 million dollars is a steep amount of money for any athletic program especially Miami's. This would put a serious dent in the athletic department's budget.

Knowing the admin, I would guess his seat is at about a 6.3 on the heat scale. There's 6 more games to played and if they shake out like we all expect, he's on a scalding seat and should probably start looking to sell his house.

Butch doesn't require a buyout on an existing contract.

He's the only answer. But we have to strike now

I think my desire for Butch to take over this team as HC is bordering on irrational. I'm starting to fantasize a WWE entrance where Al and No'D are in the ring taunting the fans when suddenly the music changes (maybe to "Ballin' Boyz") and Joe Z (and DBJ) start yelling "Noooo! It can't be!" as Butch makes his way down the ramp. Fans erupt, smack down ensues, order restored.

FLY BUTCH BANNER IMMEDIATELY.

We're in full tailspin and it's plain as ******* day to anyone that is old enough to walk- minus Jersey Shore of course. This could get beyond ugly. IMO you have to get rid of him NOW to stop the hemorrhaging and find some recruiting continuity.

UM needs to take that $3.5 million out of the *** of the dumb sihts who agreed to this dumbass extension. Too bad UM doesn't have lawyers worth a ****, advised by some financial minds.
