USC thought the same thing about 20 years ago. They brought back John Robinson. He was just average. Pitt with Johnny Majors. Terrible. Petrino won't be great at Louisville either. Maybe we get lucky and Davis has that Bill Snyder magic.

You think Davis is gonna go out and hire young up and coming assistants? Innovators? Not at the coordinator positions. Retreads.

Miami needs go find somebody with that dog in him. Dude with a 5 year plan. Not somebody who is looking to retire and think the same things he did before are gonna work now. Make Miami great and go to the NFL. Rinse and repeat. Thats how it gets done here. A guy who doesn't even know they really want the NFL. Just a guy who is never satisfied.

KSU thought the same thing 3 years ago. They brought back Bill Snyder. He's kicked *** ever since.

Is that Butch's son?

I mean I have no doubt Butch wants to come here. He was selling himself for the job last year during the whole PSU fiasco. He's actually probably the best coach we could get and he would solve a lot of our problems instantly.

Yes, brought him in as a walkon for a little bit at North Carolina in 2012. I know Butch was campaigning last year, but this at least confirms he is still interested and since a Miami fan asked about it, I'm assuming his kid was saying that Butch still would say yes to Miami.

I said maybe we get the Bill Snyder Magic. But Snyder also wasn't away from the program for what would be 14 years. **** there might've of been a couple of freshman he recruited in 2005 that were on the 2009 team when he came back.

Have butch come in here and have a good 8-10 years at least and than have one of his coordinators be the coach in waiting kinda like Jumbo was under Bubby Bowden.

Butch was sporting that orange tie on Saturday night for a reason. This dude's practically openly campaigning for the UM job. His interview last year when Fat Fck was courting Ped State was awesome.

It doesn't matter if Butch is old. This program can not afford another risk. You bring in a McNeill and he fails for another 4 years and you might as well still a nail in the coffin. Even if Butch is here for 4 years and retires, perception needs to change for the next guy.
