Butch Davis gave up 53 points to Syracuse in his 4th year as Head Coach. I get it that he inherited a team decimated by probation but it was his fourth year. He had an amazing eye for talent and arguably the best ever in that department. He could possibly become the GOAT General Manager in the NFL but he’s not the GOAT college football coach. He was a horrible game day manager and was the first ever to deserve and receive a banner. I was in the OB that day.

Let it go. Stop living in the past. We need an influx of new and creative thinkers. This program made it’s bones by being innovators. Whether it was Schnellenberger’s pro-style offense when others were running the veer and wishbone or JJ’s “speed kills” philosophy or Dennis Erickson’s one-back sets, we’ve always innovated and caused others to follow. We are a dinosaur right now and a Butch Davis is nothing more than an archaeologist.

Obviously different quality of opponents, but FIU bout to have a better record than big brother. It's all relative though since FIU is beating teams they shouldn't, and we're losing to teams we shouldn't.

I laughed slightly at the bring back Butch Davis notions, but fck it, at this point bring him back, hire The Pirate, anyone....who cares anymore

Its a fuqin shame hes not our coach and its sad as **** man, im broken by this **** man. I know the retards at the top would never hire him, we got retards running the show.
 
22 new coaches in college football last season. Only 5 had a better record than Butch at the end of the year.

He takes that team and this year is wrecking his conference.

Florida International University did alright with a 65 year old coach. But if you are steadfast on your 67 number I get it.
