Who did Butch beat with equal talent?
Ultra low IQ senseless from too much jagging 12 year olds weren't around, so you're excused

Neither of those teams had more talent. I don’t care what prehistoric rankings you use
Ah yes, behold the Dunning-Krugers reading comprehension/goal posts shifting :)

These two 67 year old coaches say the 67 year old "age" thing is moronic imbecile zombie parrot squawk. Pointing at you.

Belichick was 48 when he was hired by the Pats. He's riding into the sunset with Brady
Saban was 55 when he started at Bama. He shouldn't stay any longer than when Tua goes pro.

Starting new with a 67 year old isn't a good look.

I wish we had hired 55 year old Butch in 2007 instead of Randy Shannon. That was a choke. But hiring 2019 Butch Davis would just be grasping, and kind of sad.

So just to be 100% clear, you would not under any circumstances, in 2019, hire Saban, Butch or Belichick were they available, due purely to their age.
Got it.
Part of school Admin perhaps?

Is that true?

Doesn't matter at this point, obviously.

Unfortunate if it is true.

Anyway, maybe Wrecked can find a way to add some life to his stale offense and get the STs to play better than a Jr. HS squad.

Losing faith quickly, though.

I would hire a 5 time SB winning coach or a 5 time NC winning coach at age 67. Even then, I wouldn't expect the same results starting at a new place at age 67.

Hiring a 67 year old coach who'd never been to an NC or won a playoff game is just sad. Butch is nowhere near the same league as those 2.

Back to the original question - what coach in any sport was hired at 67 or older and it worked out well?

The "optics" of old *** 66 yr old Saban and/or Belichick hoisting yet another trophy will be terrible...
...Oh wait, they weren't hired this year you say!?? My bad, the optics will be great!!

mok, your arguing with a wall here bro, dont get it and never will. Butch is without a doubt better than what we have now, only a non athlete would argue that. My fear is the admin is just fine with the product we are rolling out there now, winning is not that high on their list, choirboy's are their deal. Win 7 or 8 games, go to a bowl, any bowl, stay clean, their happy. Wish we had the same commitment to winning as Ufag, Texas, Bama, aTm, etc etc Jimbo collecting the big money from the oil barrons, 100 million aint jack to them nor the cats at Texas, they realize it comes back tenfold, our guys are to selfish to look further than their own wallet, but it could be similar here if they had any sense. The millions these fools have thrown away, geeez we coulda hired anybody
