Is there any chance at all that you having a boner for the old days does not mean that a simple hire would fix everything? Seriously, all you do is talk about how great the past was. Tf does that have to do with today? And if any coach that's won here before can do it now, why not bring back Howard?

Bring Back Butch, damnit!!!

The NFL wanted Butch snd came after Butch. He was coveted by colleges.

Butch is the only coach to take the Cleveland Browns to the playoffs in over 20 years.

No one wanted Richt. The NFL never called, because everyone could see he’s was a fraud.

He was fired and sent to the scrap heap by a college program for non performance

You got the wrong Sasquatch, fella. My opinion on Rick has always been that he’s a 9 to 10 win guy who could get the program out of the toilet it had become under Folden, get things stabilized, win some Coastals, and win an ACC championship once every several years.

Study history, champ. Rick was a HC at a comparable program for 15 years and averaged about 9.5 wins per year. He won the division a couple times. That’s what he’ll do here.

Unless Richt gets some help(namely a dynamic OC) I dont see him winning big at UM. I just dont. He's solid, that's it. Nothing wrong with that but Miami has - or at least used to have - higher standards

You keep saying 11-1 when his Career record is 92-50. Also, you must have forgot Kiffin was hired to the NFL.

But how are they not comparable right now? They are both at a small south Florida school in South Florida. However Butch was hired by FIU who was 4-4 in conference and he improved them to 5-3. While Lane took 2-6 FAU to 8-0 and beat Butch.
