Believe it or not, yesterday was the first day I jumped into that OC thread, and I regret it. I just wait for somebody to get hired and then I’ll start looking at stuff. Other than looking at what other people who I respect have to say, the rest is irrelevant to me. It’s mostly people staking out positions, pro or con, and then refusing to entertain other possible views.

asking an honest question. what is the purpose of closing the thread if there isn't really any news to report? the user experience isn't really affected and the site generates probably more traffic with the derail. as soon as any news breaks, it will get back on topic.
