The O deserves the hits it’s taking, but why did the D suck so hard?

Kam was way too aggressive and MT took advantage of that. Kam would have been responsible for two tds if that qb had more patience.

It's Monday morning and it is just starting to sink in how bad the defense especially the secondary was. Unheard of to have that many big pass plays against anyone. Shocking

I am going to come to Steed's defense on something that I simply can't let go from a coaching perspective: on one play, he was split out wide in coverage. Maybe it was due to injuries in our defensive backfield, but otherwise, it is unconscionable that one could send an oft-injured linebacker into a cornerback position. Not cool.

LOL... because stars dont matter more than on the field performance. Lots of fools don't get that round here.

Their entire offense was on big plays. Outside of that they had one drive.

The big plays were a result of horrible CBs. There is not a NFL player amongst them I dont care what someone else says.. I have watched them fail over and over again. Ivey had a great game against TAMU playing tight which worked because all of the short routes and he took that into this game and got burned deep because of it. The guy who got beat coming in off the bench isnt a D1 player. James Williams cannot tackle and frankly just isnt that good. He is a crazy athlete with bad instincts and who is as thin as a super model. Tyrique is stiff, great with run support but cant cover for more than 2 moves. Some of these guys will get drafted but will have very very short careers. Malik Curtis wont have a college level body for years if ever and there was talk abut how good he was in the fall. If that doesnt say volumes you aint paying attention.

So, basically, Rick Stockstill was a thousand times better at exploiting Miami’s weaknesses than Jimbo was. Even though he has a roster no one wants while Jumbo has stacked top 5 classes.

If anything this shows TrumpyCane how truly awful Texas A&M’s offense is

Going to pound the TT under rest of the reason

Jimbo played vanilla and was sure his guys could just beat us because they are more physical... and they did.

Southern Miss showed that if you add some wrinkle to your rush then chances are 1 guy simply wont be blocked. Jimbo didn't add wrinkles. Stocksill did. I even mentioned how alarming it was that dudes were simply not getting blocked after the Southern Miss game. Almost every pressure and every sack was the result of dudes not getting blocked. Total breakdowns.

Giving someone a 4th star doesn't grant the player some jedi abilities where he can overcome execution failures. Doesn't allow you to block dudes when out of position or even block dudes with one arm or even dudes that are completely unblocked. Doesn't make your hands grow spider like hairs on them.

Is Mario now a bad OL coach along with Mirabal? His track record was all in spite of instead of because of? Yet almost every single pressure was the result of someone not being blocked or being half blocked by an OL who was blocking two dudes or a RB who failed to complete the block. The idea that all of a sudden these guys are bad OL coaches is so pathetic it screams of an estrogen overload.

App State also beat TAMU. What about their roster? Or maybe the roster thing only counts when its beneficial to our doomsday theory.

Not sure why this isn't obvious to this board but rosters don't win games... execution does. Show me where our guys executed... I will wait for it.

The pattern is (for 2-3 years now) that our guys fail to execute at a high percentage. TVD throws interceptions because he failed. Rooster fumbles because he failed. Ivey gives up deep balls because he failed to read the route correctly. Tyrique gave up the deep because he failed. Bench dude gave up the homerun because he failed. Our players don't tackle because they fail to execute. Our guys drop passes because they fail to execute. All of these guys were in positions to make the plays but it was wholly dependent on their ability to execute. It took about 6 plays to beat us last week and all were because of mistakes made by the players. We are not getting beat by concepts. Were beating ourselves and its right there on tape. Take away those 6 plays we win 31-7 which is inline with the spread.

In a word.... YES...

What would that even do for you?

This was my favorite play. I wonder how long it took them to draw this up?

Gattis... "I want both of you guys to run smack into each other and then lets see what happens."

That was some offensive coordination right there.

Terrible coaching by Steele. We couldn't come back because we couldn't stop fkn mtsu from scoring. Think about that for a second. We got out coached, schemed, and played by mtsu!!??!!
I'll def agree on the out-coached comment. Brent Stockstill and his staff totally embarassed Mario, Steele, Gattis, etc. And did it with supposedly less talented players.
