The Night Richt Lost the Fanbase... and the Team

We lost to Virginia, Boston College, and Duke in the same season.

After tonight, there should be exactly no one left on the Richt train unless you share a last name.

Edit: Pitt hung 54 on Duke, who hadn't beaten us at home in 42 years.

You think so? This feels like a particularly low low. There's no specter of sanctions, no probation, no lack of talent or abundance of injury to blame. Still a recent hire, money was theoretically no object at that point. Just a year ago, an outpouring of support - financial and otherwise - pointed toward the program as we finally got our indoor practice facility and were ranked #2.

There is nowhere for blame to hide right now. There are no other excuses here. There's only one place this can all be directed.

this is even worse than 97, IMO.

That team was shackled by probation, etc

Whats the excuse here?
