we used to pray for times like this ... to rhyme like this ... so we had to grind like that, to shine like this ...

this is not a pipe dream ... this is a realistic outcome ... crazy how far we've come

Now we just have to make Mexico pay for this...

;)

Coleman is 5’11 and some change . In cleats I’d say 6 feet. That said I give zero ***** what his height is because arm talent like this with great work ethic and smarts rarely comes along.

His arm is special.
There isnt a single qb with nfl ability that didn't get there because of height ( within reason of course. Cant be 5'3) flutie, Brees, vick, wilson, Murray etc. Even guys like brunell were barely 6 foot. D'eriq king was good in cfb and he was 5'9. Other than draft time when guys nitpick does anyone ever mention their heights. Has anyone ever said kyler isnt good because he's short ? Nope. Heck cam was 6'1 6'2. He isnt looking over any guy thats 6'5 either.

Qbs dont look over the line. Now its not to say thwee is zero impact but again, if you are tall enough, it won't stop a guy from balling.

100%. His height will not determine his success with that arm. Like Cam, he is already working on multiple arm angle throws to get around the pass blockers and defenders. He'll be just fine. ... that said, I definitely would like to see him bulk up a bit so he doesn't get annihilated when sacked or taking off running.

1. They're not directly next to each other, so it's not the most perfect visual comparison, but #55 is Breck Kolojay, he is a legit blue-chip offensive line prospect, he's about 6'5 and 310+ pounds, if not more. And he looks like a ******* TODDLER next to Jackson Cantwell. WTF is that kid?? My goodness. I guess you could say the same about Canon Pickett, who is right next to him, and he's probably 6'4 and well over 300? Cantwell could slide over a few feet and you literally couldn't even see a human being was behind him. What a ******* freak.

2. Dereon Coleman is an incredibly risky prospect. If Beck hits how we want him to hit this year, we will likely have a ton of portal options going forward after back to back years launching Cam and Beck into the draft, so it's not like we're putting all our eggs in his (very tiny) basket, but I'd feel a lot better taking a 2nd QB in this class who could cosplay as an adult. I've watched Coleman's film, I'm going to see him in person at Jones this fall, I think he's got a lot of talent and i know about his arm. But I'm a data guy........the amount of QBs at that size who have truly exceled at the major college football level is VERY small. Yes, I know he's standing between literal giants. But Bryce Young, for example, was REALLY small. And Coleman makes him look like Cam Newton. This kid is TINY. I study our QBs more than any other position as it is, but this is about as intrigued by a prospect as I can possibly be, because for the life of me I don't see how you play the position at a high NFL level in a program this massive at that size. But I'm sure hoping he's an outlier, as I'm sure the staff is. He looks like a mini-Jeff Thomas in that uniform.
I agree with you. He has the build of a 1989 option QB.

Coleman will have time sitting behind Luke who is going to be really good.

I dont understand how anyone has the confidence in this staff to recruit a good QB out of high school. Coleman to me also looks small.
Yeah it's not like they landed the Georgia player of the year and a kid who won everything in that state. SMH with some of these posters.

Yeah this kid is a scrub.

D’Eriq King comparable as it relates to measurables or nah?

He was considered a small QB qb so I want see if Coleman is taller/shorter etc

He has a quick release, idk if his arm is Josh Allen, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield “Special”

He has to add 20 pounds, he’ll take hits because he’ll have to get outside the pocket to make throws.

What’s his 40 time? Can he run?

What does small have to do with anything. QB is a skill based position not height and weight. Drew Allar is what every scout creams about and he’s so ******
