The next UM HC is already on staff....

I like Manny, but I really don’t want to go down that road again.

Every guy we hire doesn’t have to have Miami ties. Get me a win at all costs, explore every possibility to win, always looking to improve your staff coach

Manny may someday be a good head coach, but enough on the job training

someone with ZERO experience as a head coach. yeah.. thats a real smart move ! SMFH
You're 100% correct logically but if they have to eat Richt's $15M in salary owed, I don't see them hiring someone they would need to pay at least the same amount as Richt to. Richt's salary is not even at the top end anymore. I think he's the 20th highest paid coach. We're in a bad place.

Manny understands what Richt doesn't. That you need to game plan/scheme every advantage that you can for your players no matter how good they are. He went on and on about it in a recent interview. That would probably translate into him hiring a good oc.

I was too until everyone realized Bama can't be stopped.
True. Bama is playing with a gamie genie this season.

But I get better enjoyment watching teams like Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, and a few others.

But Kingdom Hearts franchise has taken the place of my Canes fandom.

no one is going to eat anything but dog**** until Richt's contract is up in 2023.
ive posted before that the UM president could catch Richt riding Sebastian like the Lone Ranger riding Silver and he
wouldn't get fired.

Unlike the offense, at least the Defense has had a clear direction, vision, and execution of the vision. The offense has none of those things, heck we don't even know what the goals are for the offense.

Thanks...I'm even more depressed now

And his name is Manny Diaz.

Just my gut but I think Richt stays on 2 more years and turns this( whatever it might look like in 2 years)over to Diaz.

I think( or rather, strongly believe ) Manny is very happy here. He will no doubt get lots of calls this off season, for good reasons, but my gut is he will hold off for what I believe for him is a " dream job"- Miami.

I think we all have to, sadly, go back to hibernation and wait out this season, 2019, and possibly 2020 under Richt.

Not what any of us want but seriously, as many gave said, Richt aint quitting and aint getting fired. The money is too good for him and the admin aint getting into any more buyouts, especially with the Golden lawsuit.

Love Manny but in all fairness unless he acknowledged all the help he need to be successful and surround himself it is a long shot. He is not a recruiter and is not easy to treat. Pass

Don't confuse being a good DC with being a good HC. Not saying he would suck, but there's no reason to think he'd be great.

And another thing...why are we so in love with hiring a great OC/DC to be HC? Doesn't it make more sense to hire a guy who's not so tied to a particular system? I don't know if you guys have noticed, but guys who have a system are sometimes slow to recognize when that system isn't working.

If Manny uses Thomas Brown's salary on, yknow, a REAL offensive coordinator, he could be pretty successful.
If many cleans house on O side of the ball, 'cept a Donk or so, he will gave a fair chunk. OC, that is QB coach, Oline....ect...its doable!

And Diaz has already shown hea will to try methids to adapt! I'll give it to!

That would be settling and an indication the Administration can't or won't spend the money to hire a legit, proven HC.

Love Diaz and think he has great potential as HC; but he needs to be battle tested at a smaller program first.

Although we are on the way to becoming one I guess.
