This offense hums, so do it like Bama does: Keep the same offense system, and make the new OC learn the offense, concepts and terminology. That way, the players can continue to grow in the current system, and you won’t need to “start over”. It’s much easier for 6 coaches to learn it, with all the time in the world, than 50 student athletes on the offensive side of the ball to learn it, given they must also manage school, classes and exams.

By doing it this way, the learning curve will be on the coaches and not the players, and coaches has far shorter learning curves than players.

Also TVD already has mastery of the system, so keeping the sane system will allow him to blossom even more. You won’t stunt his growth, nor any of the returning WRs. Everyone will be able to play fast and instinctive straight out the gate.

The new OC just needs to not run anything complicated.

Whether it’s Air Raid concepts. The Veer and Shoot. I don’t really care.

But it needs to be something you can learn in a day.

Honestly I don't entirely disagree, though I'd like to see more misdirection in the run game via motion, sweeps, counters etc. Open up those gaps. People forget that in addition to Burrow's brilliance in 2019, LSU had a 1400 yard rusher too. Not advocating for or against Brady, just saying that an up tempo spread offense doesn't automatically preclude a strong run game.
