Shouldn't be directed entirely to the players and the team. I keep hearing Manny talk about their "standard." Like we've done anything since Butch left and his players graduated that even resembles the "Standard at Miami."
How about some standards for the coaches?
How about "quit calling the same damned plays that fail time after time, after time during a game?"
How about Miami coaches making some freaking adjustments during games?
How about Miami coaches pulling their heads outta their a$$es and adapt to what's actually working in a game - whatever the opponent - and knock off their "approved and sanitized" set of plays the coaches may like - but don't work?
How about Miami coaches using Miami speed and athleticism - and knock off the Arkansas/Alabama SEC type Boulschitt?
How about Miami coaches quit emphasizing THEIR expectations - and make some actual logical moves to enable our players to utilize THEIR skills?
How about Miami coaches - when one person commits one dumba$$ penalty - makes the entire team pay the price? I guarantee - you start doing that for every dumba$$ penalty - after some offending players take some a$$ whippings from the team - and that crap will dry up fast! It will be a self-correcting mechanism!
How about Miami coaches being held to the "Miami Standard" in their preparation, player preparation, player execution - and do the necessary adjustments to fix obvious problems - as they're revealed?
How about Miami coaches shutting the **** up - until such time as they actually get this thing rolling? If I want fluff - I can watch politicians lie their a$$es off.
How about Miami coaches concentrate on getting the ball into the hands of playmakers on offense - and forget the long-term personal plans they may have conjured up?
And how about Miami coaches BLEND their defensive attack - don't throw all effort to stopping the run - while letting receivers run wide open - and QB's having all day to find them?
You preach standards? Then standards should be applied equally - players and coaches. Standards suggest responsibility - so start holding not just players responsible - but coaches and coordinators should be held responsible as well - and while they expect players to adapt and change things up for better performance - the coaches should be expected to adapt and change things up for improving THEIR performance.
