The Mavs absolutely blew this one. IMO, it's going to go down as one of, of not, the worst NBA trade of all time. If you want to trade him, you create a bidding war and drive up the price. A near 32 yr old AD and a pick is an absolute joke of a return for a generational talent that's not even in his prime.

Can the Miami Heat simply waive Jimmy Butler? I know that they would still be liable for his salary this year versus the cap, but would that negate his player opt in for next year?

I hate injuries but this was the irony of the mavs trade, the guy u traded for is 10x more injury prone

Anyone believe the conspiracy theory that the NBA is about to award the Mavs with the 1st pick to get Cooper Flagg?
The NBA sees Lakers about to fall off so put in a call to lock them up a superstar for the next decade. Mavs get the guarantee of the top pick to facilitate that.... hmmm

Its either that or the Mavs legit were doing this to pull some BS to threaten to move to Vegas and/or get Dallas to support whatever gambling **** they want in the new stadium they're wanting to build...

So what Mavs get Flagg, Spurs gunna trade #2, #14, and some more for Giannis.

Since NBA changed lottery in 2019 the team with worst record has never been 1st pick.
