1. How can anyone take what Indiana beat writers or their fans say seriously? I mean, they've seen nothing but schidt football for a century there. They put together two back to back seasons and now they writers and fans are experts in deciphering good football from bad?
2. Please keep talking schidt about the Canes. Please. I beg them all. Keep doing it. This team really folds under internet commentary.
3. Does anyone actually watch the games anymore before they offer opinions and (I'm about to be generous -->) thoughts? Anyone who's seen a lot of football and saw the first half of the Oregon game knows that Oregon made diarrhea all up and down their legs from the first play from scrimmage. Yes, Indiana got the win, but Oregon lost that game a whole lot more than Indiana won it. How about the Penn State game? Indiana pulled a rabbit out of the hat to win that. Or us against Ole Miss. We dropped three picks. We had several dumb penalties. We play clean against them and we win by 17, which would've created an entirely different storyline.
4. Trenches. We have smacked the following teams in their teeth: Notre Dame, aTm, Ohio State and Ole Miss. We also did it to UiF and FSU, but they both sucked this year. We've been the better team on NOTH sides of the ball at the LOS all year long. No one - and I mean no one - has been able to better us on either side of the ball in any game this year. Read it again if necessary. No one. We OWN the LOS on both sides of the ball. I saw Oregon get some pressure before the game was completely out of hand (so basically in the first quarter). Mendoza, like most QBs, is not nearly as good when he's getting flushed from the pocket. He panics when his first and second reads aren't there. I like our DL significantly more than Oregon's.
5. Unless Isiah Thomas and Keith Smart are going to suit up for Indiana, I don't see them winning. Bobby Knight is/was a dooshbag. So was Kent Benson.
