The narrative and Chambliss.

One of the main things that helps against that is having corners who can press consistently. If we’re down two CBs and they consistently catch 3.5-4 yard passes then that doesn’t bode well for us
This. If we can put hands on them and hold them up (without holding) that would buy the defense the time they need to get home or at a minimum throw off the timing....

Chambliss is a much more gifted passer. Better overall athlete...stronger arm scrambles to throw down field not always to run. He will also have versatile deep wr core and a rb in Lacey that's the 2nd best back in the nation at 5'11 215 lbs running a 10.4 100.
Perfect Mario ball game, control TOP, run it tile they stop it

I fully expect Ole Miss to use SMU’s game plan as their starting point
SMU rushed for negative yards and scored 20 pts in regulation. 7 of which came off the quick turn broken play after JoJo coughed up the nice completion and we busted a coverage. SMU’s gameplan didn’t work. ACC officials and a little too much caveman bro ball kept them in a game in which we outplayed them for the vast majority of the game. If Ole Miss uses that game as a blue print for success we will smoke them.

Hows he compare to Marcel Reed?

Not as dynamic as a runner or scrambling to make guys miss from the pass rush/blitz, but when he does run, he keeps his eyes downfield for his WRs to make the throw. Misses some easy throws in the short - medium range like Reed does.

Also, just for CIS laughs he did play basketball in High school and can dunk.

He's a great story and a solid QB, but I trust Heatherman and the defense to throw in some disguised coverages which has struggled with plus not having Lane on the sideline to help him is a huge factor, even though I'm a fan of Weis jr as a play caller.

Oklahoma is also almost dead last in the country in rushing yards per game. They cant run so they gave Ole **** a lot of extra possessions. Ole **** has the advantage if it becomes a shoot out. I don’t think it will.

**** never thought I would see a season with Oklahoma and Georgia with two of the worst rush offenses in the country.

Chambliss is good, but watching UGAs big DL run around flailing trying to catch him was funny. Ik some of yall like them war daddies 315+, but I would rather have DTs who r 290-305 more athletic and better movement skills.
this. our guys got home vs Reed & they will get home vs chambliss.

Chambliss is not a better athlete than Reed lol. He is a better QB though

The biggest challenge is how quickly Ole Miss gets the ball out. It negates our biggest advantage
Actually getting the ball out fast has huge disadvantages. You shrink your route tree significantly. That leaves you to only running
  • Slants
  • Hitches
  • Speed outs
  • Quick flats
  • Stick / spacing concepts
This handicaps an offense because your routes become predictable and defenses start suffocating them.

If a teams wants to play the quick game you just play coverage and disrupt all the throws.

UGAs defense was ranked 118th in sacks. The team leader in sacks was a LB with 4.5 sacks for the season, and 2 of those came against App State and Charlotte. I don’t think a lot of people understand that UGA was utterly incapable of pressuring QBs all season.
Yea they aren’t built off individual rushers likecwe are they manufacture alot of their pressures thru sim pressures and creepers. They got some pressure on him but did a very bad job of containing and to be fair he was just on one lmao

Good player. Play our game, run the football, stop the run, don't turn the ball over and get after him. We've played good QBs all year. Guess what, if we win Thursday we get to play one of the top 2 picks in the draft for a title lol Big boy football. Line that **** up and let's go!

No doubt the kid is dangerous and a real talent, but I’m hearing quite a bit of talk like this kid is Michael Vick but taller and Miami will be lucky to keep him from going off. Our defense clearly feeds of perceived disrespect, and I think that narrative is gonna provide a little extra juice.

As I said in a previous post, if Ole Miss can do on offense what no other team has done this season, more power to them and they deserve the trophy.

I saw our fans calling him a Cam Ward clone and I had to double take his stats. He is good. He isnt Cam Ward.

I don’t think we have to worry about that because OJ and Brown will be back this game.
