the amazing thing about that comeback is that Steve Walsh and the offense, they went no-huddle, up-tempo, and didnt even use a time out, IIRC

Miami truly had that mystique about them in that era

When Bobby Harden recovered that onside kick, it was incredible to watch -- even as a kid in East Los Angeles/Montebello

The ending is basically 5 minutes of perfect football from Miami.
 
2015 Canes.

Pros: Won 8 games, gave us the "Miracle in Durham", and fired Al Golden.

Cons: Those feather uniforms were unforgiveable. Also the runningback pass in the snow.

I guess this is actually a pretty bad pick.
 
I'm going with Coach Andy Gustafson's hyper-underrated 9-1-1 1950 squad. They beat top-10 ranked Purdue on the road, beat the Gator on the road, and only lost one game (a 15-14 Orange Bowl game to Clemson). That 1950 squad also included UM's first first-team All-American, Al Caparella. And it was UM's last 9+ win season until 1980.

Best team in the country at the end of the season. Got screwed at Texas and at Mississippi State on mystery calls.
 
If the 94 team had any kind of a quarterback they’d have won a natty.
 
The 99 team was underrated, really only should’ve lost 2 games that year. Played both teams that played in the championship game, Penn State was the number 2 ranked team at the time we played them. Then played against Ohio State in NY early, I do remember the upset against ecu though

That 99 Secondary was lethal...Didn't give up a receiving TD in the last 8 games of the regular season.

Better quarterback play was all they needed. It was a re-occurring theme for Miami through most of the 1990's. All Kenny Kelly could do was throw the ball up for grabs and Santana would cut off his route, run ten yards back towards the ball and still make the catch.

That 99 Defense ate up the #1 Offense in America (GT) and QB Joe Hamilton in the Bowl game. Nate Webster bullied them...
