get real guys, this is not a top ten team, not with this offense and not with Richt as a play caller. He is devoid of imagination.

uhhhhhh no. This ain't the BCS system. There are EYES watching us CLOSELY. I legitimately think we'll be ranked 12-15. They are gonna treat us like UCF/USF until we can beat someone decent. Everyone on here is going to hoot and holler when we aren't in the top 10 and say "the media is hating!" "espn always hating on us!" "meda hating on us? we byke." as if they haven't seen 1 UM game in the last 3 weeks.

Agreed. We soiled the mattress offensively against a team VaTech beat 56-7. No way we move up.

TCU moves down. Maybe Penn State does, but I doubt it.

We have to beat VaTech to enjoy any legitimacy in the eyes of the voters.

That’s the problem with being a year ahead of schedule. We’re the 1981 team playing like its 1983 and we’re headed to play Nebraska. We’re nowhere near as disciplined or deep as Schnelly’s or Jimmy’s Teams were. If we somehow got past the next two weeks with victories, we would get exposed by Clemson in the ACCCG, big Time.

I actually like the '81 vs '83 comparison.

One problem, though, is that the current #12 is nowhere near as good as the 1981 #12 .

Honestly, I see us somewhere around #15 . Today’s performance looked like a team trying to break into the top 25.

1) Bama
2) Georgia
3) Wisconsin
4) Ohio State
5) Notre Dame
6) Ped State
7) Oklahoma
8) Miami
9) Clemson
10) Oklahoma State
 
Even our 2001 team had close games that were not pretty (such as the BC game). That was the greatest CFB team of all time. Canes are undefeated and I don't believe any one loss team should be ranked ahead of us. A couple of those one loss teams will be ranked ahead of us but they shouldn't be. Penn State has lost one of the few big games they have on their schedule. Sorry but beating up on cupcakes & losing your one big game is not enough to have you ranked in the top 5. They lost one of their very few big games and they should fall hard (despite leading most of the game). They lost. Get TCU out of there (big drop). End of story. We'll likely be ranked #6 /#7 in the two polls.

You seem to be forgetting that Clemson is currently still ranked ahead of Miami.

Umm no. You do realize we basically had two miracles against fsu and GA Tech. And the last two games where we barely got a win.

I'm still reserved and not sure what to make of this team yet but seeing other teams I would put Penn state notre dame and Clemson ahead easily maybe OK State too.

It's the truth. This Miami team to me hasn't shown much aside for the desire to win and persevere.

Why do so many so called fans feel the need to apologize for wins? Nobody else does. Did PSU apologize for beating Iowa on the last play of the game? Wisconsin when they had 1 score game against Perdue? Or Oklahoma in just about every game (btw, they are losing to Texas Tech). Not even talking about everyone who's lost.....which is just about everyone. We aren't a perfect team, but we are winning. Try and enjoy it and stop with all the masochism ffs.

No one is apologizing... we looked pathetic with whole country watching if we are for real.
 
I wish we were putting average teams away, but we are clinging to hold one every game. I just don't see how the committee is going to keep us at #8 . I hope I'm wrong but would not surprise me if we are somewhere around 11 or 12
