The More You Know...About Pitt

That DT is gonna have an Easly type day vs our interior OL

//WILL RUN THE STRETCH PLAY ALL DAY THOUGH STILL

Seems like every time we play at Pittsburgh the pointspread is the same, with Miami favored by roughly 3. That's what it was in 2003 and 2010 also, just like this year.

Pittsburgh is no guarantee to pound us on the ground. That's the ray of hope. They aren't nearly as relentless as Duke, which will keep running if they sense frailty. Duke averages a full yard and a half per rush more than Pittsburgh, which barely above 3.

I suspect at some point Pittsburgh will build another on-campus stadium. At least they have some room and that option. Right now they are playing at a pro stadium but at least it is in a vital relevant area, smack on the water in the heart of the city. I have to laugh every time the blimp shows a glimpse of Miami Gardens. Other than Calder and the RaceTrac gas station the only landmarks are traffic lights.

It's 35 and freezing rain in Chattanooga right now and we're suppposed to get an inch of snow tonight. I cringe thinking of what it's going to be up in Pennsylvania on Friday. Our players might literally die.

As disruptive as that DT is, it sure would have been nice to have Duke for this game for a few screen plays. Our interior O-linemen better be eating their Wheaties.

Love these write ups. Honestly, I cannot recall the last time I watched UM play well during cold weather. I have yet to see the Canes this season not really put the effort needed to win. The team just doesn't have "it" yet. Last two cold weather games the Champs and Sun Bowls we really looked out of sync and too cold to play. If I recall the team played pretty good against Nevada in Boise Idaho and it was cold then. I do recall a great game against Pitt at Heinz field when Brock was QB. The team played well in cold weather and all the talk was about how the team would falter. However, that team was better than the current one (humble opinion).
