On 23 Nov 24, Miami QB Cam Ward (and eventual #1 draft pick) breaks Hurricane legend QB Bernie Kosar's passing yards in a season record that had stood for 40 years.

Ward's 13-yard completion to RB Damien Martinez with 1:27 left in the second quarter gave him 3,643 yards for the season. Kosar's mark of 3,642 yards was set in 1984.
