To be fair Miami created this “chicken or the egg” scenario by hiring grossly under qualified people in Blake James and Manny Diaz

The narrative that Miami doesn’t spend was a self fulfilling prophecy under Blake. Prime example is Mark Richt gets hired and what do you know…. IPF gets built.

Blake had zero vision or experience. He was a D3 athletic director that somehow got hired at Miami

The other reason why I want the Zo Jurich combo is their network within the coaching community. Miami shouldn’t crap their pants if Lashlee leaves. A strong AD always has replacements in hand

Just consider a real-world analogy...

The Great Recession hits in 2008-2009. Your boss comes to you, since you are a department head, and says "All departments need to cut their budgets by 20%, the credit markets are frozen, the housing market is crashing, we have no idea when this thing will end.". You slash your department's budget by 22% to be a good soldier, and you have a 0% increase for 3 years, followed by 10 years of 1 to 2 percent budgetary increases.

2021 is ending, you are putting your 2022 budget together. Your boss comes to you and asks you why your department's turnover is so high, morale is so low, and you have failed to produce any significant ideas or projects in the past decade. You shrug your shoulders and try to blame the Great Recession...

I understand what Blake did post-Nevin-gate. He didn't have to keep doing it for nearly 10 years.
