The Media Loves Miami

The attention this time is without question driven by Tate's name and the whole story that it was when he transferred to UM. It was a big story when he transferred, it was a big story when he got his waiver, and now and even bigger story that he's not the starter because of that storyline. Most of the guys reacting now have paid zero attention to the competition and have never heard of Jarren until yesterday.

As someone said, it’s because people hate Tate.

Being a well-off ****y white kid is today’s equivalent of being a showboating black kid from Liberty City in the 80’s.

Inside College Football on CBS Sports Network had a special last night on transfers/transfer portal, new coaches and coordinators. Pretty good amount of Miami talk regarding Martell, Diaz and Enos. Check it out.

Probably had to do more that he talked a lot of **** online throughout the years. That "better not miss twice" line is the definition of irony.

It's why we can still explode given the landscape... we get some real momentum, not some flash in the pan ****, we're the center of a sport dominated by a boring team and coaching story again.

Wishful thinking, not like college football has fallen off since 2001

Last year was the lowest rated championship game since 2012 and playoff ratings dropped 25%.

Casual fans in major media markets are tired of seeing the same teams from hicksville over and over again. Miami and LA are both trendy cities so viewers in NY, Chicago, Philly, LA, San Fran, and DC (in top 8 media markets) will tune in to watch the Canes or Trojans, especially when they do lots of feature pieces on the nightlife (why they always show South Beach even though its more than an hour from the stadium). Plus Miamis "bad boy" image from the 1980s still resonates with older viewers. Yes, ESPN and ABC would love to see Miami back on top.

As stated we are polarizing. You either hate us or you love us, there is no in between and that a dream for the media. The media has wanted us to be back so many **** times, they have given us the spotlight over and over again, but we just like to **** the bed. Hopefully the 9th time is the charm....

Wrong! The Media HATES Miami. It's always been that way. They're only talking about us because we're news and it's the off-season.

Truth. They talk about Trumpall the time and sure do not love him. They hate us and that is good.
