Had he not sold out to go to Bama and stayed he would have more than likely been the Interim HC instead of Scott and would have had a chance at a Dan Campbell moment.
But he decided to leave his "Alma Mater" and go to Bama of all places and for that he should be automatically disqualified from coaching at Miami in the near future.

EFF HIM.

Even tho I'm not convinced that he'll be a good hc at Miami. Saying he should be disqualified because left Miami is ******* stupid. Dude saw what type of coach golden was and when saban called he went to learn under a great coach. Stop this scorned girlfriend act some of you have.

Man up

The dude willing sold himself like a 2 dollar ***** to go somewhere else to recruit directly against his alma mater.
Yes times were tough at Miami during those times. The future was uncertain. But that's exactly the time when a program needs it's people the most to get them through it.
Had Mario displayed some loyalty back then I'm sure that loyalty would have been repaid somehow by the program.
Since he didn't, EFF HIM.

I think he realizes that this is his only real shot at being a head coach for a top team in college football. I don't see other schools similar to Miami's position interested in Cristebal. He is what he is right now in his career and that is an OL coach and a recruiter.

This is the moment were the program can set a ruthless tone and say no to second chances.

Mario is on NOBODY's short list for their head coaching position except for UM's. What's that tell you? DO NOT HIRE THIS DUDE! If he wants to prove how good he is, go to UCF and show something. Do not hand him the keys to a Ferrari. Make him drive a Camaro for a little while.

No I think if he would've stayed, he would have been interim but wouldn't have had a chance at getting the full time position. I think his time spent learning under Saban factors heavily in why he's being considered. I just don't believe he's ready yet. He needs about two more years learning under Saban before attempting to be a HC again.
