The leak from FIU loss turning into a gusher

Who says winning doesn't effect recruiting.

Well losing does too

NOW GO FIX THIS!!

Yet both Jaylan Knighton; a 4-Star running back—and Jalen Harrell; a 4-Star safety—both committed to Miami for the 2020 class days after the Florida International loss.

Great, a few kids from 2021 want to keep their options open—which might've happened had Miami gone 8-4 or 6-6—as they're still a full year from the early signing period next season.

Miami has 21 commits for the 2020 class—including Don Chaney Jr., to go along with Knighton—which easily could've caused Thad Franklin to rethink his decision, as Knighton is a new addition to the class.

Canes still very much in the mix for some other big named kids out there, which could make this a Top 10 class despite a 6-6 run.

Unlike fans, these kids are less worried about this season and are more concerned with what their three to four years with this program will look like—this 2020 class already very vocal that they want to be the class that helps right the ship.

So yeah, relax as the recruiting game is always fickle—especially when dealing with teenagers that have been given a lot of power, attention and eyeballs due to the financial machine college football recruiting has turned into.

Thad Fraklin is 2021 and this team has a 5 star and high 4 star committed currently for 2020 to go along with Lingard who is a 5 star. If this team somehow kept Thad Franklin Miami would have college football's most talented backfield by a wide margin.

Miami needs to win games and find ways to get their talented recruits the ball and on the field in 2020. Franklin decommitting has nothing to do with FIU and everything to do with the fact that he is a top talent getting serious recognition and is likely fielding calls today from 50 college programs. If Chaney, Knighton, or Rivers left the 2020 class that could be because of FIU. Franklin will make his decision based on the what happens to him and the programs chasing him in 2020.

Tbh, I've coached kids around sfl before and the issues that linger is our coaching staff maintaining a poor relationship with highschool coaches. Just being real
