The leaders of this Team are not local kids.

Amazing how people equate “leadership” with what a kid tweets. 🤦‍♂️

Enlighten us, who do the kids view as leaders?

I definitely think the kids who are actively recruiting for Miami deserve a lot of credit.

LOL, Its a new world, alot of socially engineered minds these days, often times they dont look at actual reality, seems somehow reality doesnt count!

On this team... "Actions" reflect leadership!
Stop praising these guys with a loud mouth!

Your surprised?

Seems like some our best leaders and ambassadors for the team have been OOS kids for like well forever.

Until we start getting more kids like Duke to stay home to not only come play but commit early and help put the class together we will have trouble getting top classes on a consistent basis.

To me the kids as recruiters are as important or in a lot of cases MORE important than the coaches. Its really a shame we don’t have more local kids selling the U.

Win and they will come

I think Al Blades is a leader and a half. Our insiders should soon post on here saying who are the actual leaders. Any second now.

I think - Like all championship teams - it will be a good mix.

I think local guys like Nasty, Blades, Bandy, Navaughn with other in-state guys like Shaq, Pink, Lo/Cam and OOS guys like Jordan, et al, can have a great leadership group. Early 90s teams, early 00s teams all had plenty OOS/non-dade guys be leaders.

This is the chicken or egg scenario...can you win WITHOUT them coming or do you NEED to win to GET them to come 🤷‍♂️
Kids are different today, they like to go to the elite programs. I think Manny has the personality to bring some local kids aboard and start the process of making UM a go to place again.

He has us trending in the right direction for sure.It will culminate one way of the other on the field though.

Agree. Results speak for themselves. The older guys here remember what great TEAMS were and what it took on and off the field to be elite.

From the outside looking, in...it seemed like this team lacked leadership from the top down. I think that's why Manny has assigned guys to personal accountability groups. The stories of the 90's canes getting into fights because players didn't pass their conditioning drills is that old school leadership. Kosi, Weldon needed someone to check them...If Willis wasn't on his last strike, I bet he would've been that guy. But, #TNM hopefully these guys hold each other accountable.

THis is why we NEED to have the old Canes around the program constantly cause most of these kids weren’t even alive when we were worth a sHT.All they’ve ever seen is a program that has been mediocre at best.

If it wasn’t for the 30 for 30’s it would be even harder to sell our past.ESPN did us a favor making those but even those are starting to wain.Time for us to start this thing over again and this time hopefully we don’t get another troll in here to fck it up.

Interesting how all the leaders on this team are from out of the state or are not local kids(Jordan, Deejay, Shaq, Pinckney, Martell), looks like kids from other states and other towns love to play for the U more then local kids.
We have local kids.?

To the dudes in here that have fam on the team.
It seemed like the cmr style put a leash on the leaders. It’s difficult for someone to speak up when the best dudes aren’t starting. This is why you need the best players to play regardless of seniority. I’m sure nesta and lo are gonna be in peoples asses next year along with some of the older players. I’m sure mf’ers are gonna get bruised up really quick if they step out of line. It’s hard to speak up while riding the pine and seeing the people that preach accountability not practicing what they preach.
There had to be at least one receiver on the team that wanted dudes to be out there catching balls and running routes on off days or at least tell a mf’er to catch the **** ball!!!!
I’m sure leaders kept their mouth shut after AR82 went AR15 on uncle Rico.
Not calling you out op. Just saying theire might be more to this story.
