What happened to all the talk about "no coaches who were fired". All for Fedora but just funny how quick that narrative changed.

Some guys make great coordinators, but not great coaches. There are some places that you can't win successfully either. A good season or two will be followed by a bad season or two. Even Mack Brown, for the 11-1 seasons he had at UNC, the 1 loss was always against the only real competition he faced.

Nick Saban picked Culpepper over Brees. Guy must have horrible judgment. What coach does that. Lol.
Nobody has a perfect track record. Belichick got outcoached by Gase this year.
Bottom line. Fedora I s the perfect hire. Only other option is Kiffin

There is no satisfying some of you guys.

All the more reason to question the narrative. Coordinators get fired all the time. Lack of production. Staff changes. Scapegoating. Being fired as coordinator is an expected outcome eventually. Again all for Fedora.
 
Fedora would be an interesting hire if only because he dials into the same philosophy that Diaz does which is to attempt to create havoc on every single play. It’s most likely this similar thought process that has Manny intrigued by Larry’s offensive game planning. If Diaz truly wants to creat havoc on both sides of the ball, then this would be a great hire. Just don’t see Kiffin and his ego giving up his HC gig to come be the OC for the U.

you are one of those panned the Manny diaz hire when hired aren't u? I bet u are. but at texas his d got shredded. we cant hire him. look at what he did for our defense fedora would do same as oc. nto saying has to be fedora but ahs to be a spread offense guru be it air raid or the mullen/meyer offense
