I've resigned myself from watching future U games...After 37 years of hope through thick and thin, hope and nope, one thing is very apparent about this years team.....FOR SOME REASON WE ARE NOT THAT GOOD...Sure they're some good players but not great players...Duke got caught from behind on a brake-away by two VA linebackers ,,,,Our receivers cannot separate themselves from the defense,,,,,Our defense cannot take it upon themselves to dictate the outcome of a game,,,,Our QB is good for half a game,,,,Our coaching cannnnnnnnnnotttttttt make adjustments or corrections to put these guys into a position to play better,,,,,Our coaching staff has the notion that it's okay to play well whether you win or not....Greatness is defined by a freshman QB at USC who has 32 TD's with 3 INT's,,,,Greatness is defined by a kid from Wisconsion who holds a yardage record for a week to be bested the next week by a freshmen kid from Oklahoma...We continue to claim the best high school kids in America growing up in South Fl ...But the horrible honest truth is they're good but not great..The great ones' go elsewhere for better coaching and better overall team mates. The thing that's missing from the University of Miami Football Team is the one thing that previously separated us from the rest of college football. SPEED..We took fast linebackers and made them defensive linemen...We took marginally fast safties and db's and made them linebackers...We took tight ends and made them offensive linemen...We coached at the speed of light keeping ahead of the opposition's offense or defense....Our offense gets into horrible plays with this slow check with me mentaility which gives the opposition a chance to again make changes usually putting us in the red...I love the "U" but I'm SLOWLY coming to realize that next year we lose to the teams we beat at home this year..Kaaya will have good days and bad days but not enough to keep me glued to the TV..We're just not that good===== especially on the road...
