Also, I always thought Matthew Stafford was the highest paid QB. I remember everyone saying last year "We are going to get any qb we want. They all want to play for Richt. He coached up the highest paid QB in the league".

Impossible. This data just goes to show you 2 stars and unranked guys are the best in the nation. That is why Troy is such a power house year after year and all the P5 teams are so terrified to play them.

Jimmy Graham didn't play football until college so a rating here is invalid and actually shouldn't even count for either side.

Russel Wilson was 2007
Khalil Mack was 2009
Aaron Donald was 2010
Michael Thomas was 2011
Kevin Byard was 2011

At what point do you consider the recruiting services to be more accurate?

I agree about Jimmy. To put it in perspective. From the 2008-2010 classes less than 40% of 5 stars made NFL rosters. 5 star Kids from the 2014-2015 classes made nfl roster over 90% of the time. So it is pretty clear the rankings are getting better and better over time. I do not consider the rankings fro 10 years ago very accurate. However, over time they have gotten better and better and the most recent rankings are the best they have ever been.

Also, Russel is incorrect, Stafford is the highest paid and was a 5 star. Which makes me question the accuracy of the other positions. Assuming it is accurate only 4 of them where 2 and 3 star guys.

First off, which recruiting services did they use for these guys? 247composite? 247? Rivals? ESPN?

Second, what are they trying to say? That the service(s) are inaccurate at predicting something that they had 0 intention of predicting? Is this a motivational ploy by MaxPreps to be positive towards lower ranked guys?

Last I checked recruiting sites rated players based on how much an impact they will make in COLLEGE. In addition, 247 is making an attempt at predicting who will get drafted in the first round based on projections and talent.

No recruiting service is trying to predict NFL productivity based off high school

I agree. I have no idea what they are trying to show, but I can guaruntee posters are going to extrapolate that 2 and 3 stars are the best players in the nation. That Bama and Clemson are recruiting improrperly.

Didn't Donna Shalala tell Jimmy Graham to pursue football? Does that make her one of the greatest talent evaluators in the country?
