Alabama especially and Georgia make it super top heavy. Alabama carries that conference and teams like Missouri, Arkansas (who had a good year to be honest), Vanderbilt, Tennessee (who looks to be maybe turning it around finally), and South Carolina are not special programs at all. They just happen to be in the same conference as the greatest modern college football dynasty and the tide (pun intended) is raising their little inflatable rafts.

You’re saying that as if it’s a fact. With the way they have played these past two years, they would definitely have a very good shot but it’s not like they are Clemson last few years level making them an automatic lock.

This year Alabama and Georgia are the elite teams. Ole Miss and Kentucky are next tier. After that it's not much different from all the other conferences that any team can beat one another on a given week. The SEC isn't as rough this year top to bottom as years past. It doesn't help the narrative that the media portrays the league as being just a step below pro ball.
