The Heartbreaks In Recruiting That Came Back To Haunt Golden

Lets not make the excuse for AG's failures as a coach by highlighting recruiting misses. AG could have signed 30 future NFL HOF's and still not won ****. The guy is a loser and will never win anything. There will never be a time in the future, after AG gets fired, that any of us will ever say "man if only he had stayed at Miami"....this guy has almost 10 years of head coaching experience of never winning ****. On the flip side he would be an excellent used car salesman.

Also there are some posters on here who would be excellent *** **** fluffers..see poster below for example

Seantrel Henderson - Pot Head

Sean Spence - Good LB

Allen Hurns - Wasn't anywhere close to where he was in 2012

Brandon Linder - Average

Lamar Miller - Good

Mike James - Hardworker

Brandon McGee - Really?

Ray Ray Armstrong - Moron, barely played his last year

Travis Benjamin - Good

Luther Robinson - Career 4th stringer

Tommy Streeter - Where is he now

Olivier Vernon - Great

Brandon Washington - Career loser, admitted made a mistake leaving early

Harland Gunn - Who?

Asante Cleveland - Are you trying?

Laron Byrd - Another bum

Surprised no one mentioned Vaughn Telemaque

THIS, is the bottom line.

While I agree that talent isn't the problem, I'm inclined to think that those three offensive players alone would have significantly improved our 3rd down conversion ratio thereby keeping our atrocious defensive scheme on the sideline resting. That said, I think the team would have won more games in spite of our brain-dead HC and DC. I'm sure we can all point to a number of games and say we could have won if we converted just two 3rd downs on key drives even if it resulted in a field goal.

I still abhor this staff.

Got to get my eyes checked, but Bridgewater is playing for Zimmer, and he doesn't look black, to me. Maybe that original story wasn't factual? Maybe it was a planted excuse?

Or maybe but correct me if I am wrong....In the Pros you dont really get to pick who you play for as a Rookie

So, Teddy (a racist, as you have defined him) wanted a career and a future paycheck. Why would Louisville offer him a better chance at that future, than the Canes? Maybe he wasn't ready to buy Goldie's used car? Anyway, Teddy's alleged racism certainly provided cover for Goldie. How convenient is that?

Where did I say Teddy is a racist? I said it was a rumor, everyone has heard this rumor. Where did I say it was true or I believed it?

Jesus Christ

Then don't repeat Goldie's alibi.

A hurricane for ever....excuses are tools of incompetence, those that use them or support the use of them rarely amount to ****

Who's to say any of those guys would have been on the field at those times? Herb Waters looked like the most explosive guy on the field every time he touched the ball. I don't recall seeing him on the field at all the second half of the season, other than the one catch against Virginia......which went for 20 yards.

You left out his first gigantic failure, Teddy Bridgewater. A coach worth an ounce of **** would have reeled him in. Instead he committed Louisville a couple of days after meeting Al. Everyone should have known right there that Al wasn't cut out for this.

Blame Shannon for not getting Brisset, Shannon promised Teddy he'd be the only the QB in the class

What do you expect Brisset to do when no one from Miami was recruiting him until the last few weeks of the recruiting cycle

No one was recruiting Brissett from UF until the last minute as well... RS recruited Brissett... Meyer recruited him as well and promised him a grey shirt... RS just wasn't impressed... Teddy was the clear cut, best qb of the class... We had our qb at the time, its not a miss when you actually have a qb... It took Brisset 4 years to be a decent qb...

he hasn't developed the guys who brought in. he has a secondary full of 4 and 5 star recruits that got 6 ints. smh

Then don't bring it up... A rumor that presents this kid as a racists is nothing to bring up unless you know its true.... You don't just throw around the word "racist" or imply anything regarding it unless you kno its true... There were only 2 schools willing to give Teddy a legitimate shot at qb and that was UM and Louisville... Even when Golden came he wasn't serious about it... He was after prospects like Gary Nova, Jake Ruddock and some kid named McCade... There were fans who didn't want Teddy here... The qb rankings were a joke that year by having listed as the number 1 dual threat and Driskel as the number 1 pocket passer... Even when LSU was interested they were hinting a potential change to wr or safety becuse they felt confident with Mattenberger, who it took 5 years to be good.

That's a lot of talent and a few all conference players.... Just about everyone on this list was productive...

Cooper wanted to come to Miami, he wanted to commit after the summer camp.... but when the Shapiro stuff broke he was concerned and Alabama came swooping in..... he even came out and said the NCAA stuff scared him off big time..... Teddy followed Clint Hurtt, who was his main recruiter

Golden didn't take TBW seriously? C'mon guy. Golden got hired Dec 12th. TBW committed to UL Dec 20th. If anything TBW wasn't giving UM a sniff any longer. Golden wasn't even allowed to contact TBW during those times.

Of course he went after Nova,Ruddok, and Brisset, you expect him to not have back up plans.

And it is a FACT, which I know for 100% that Shannon promised Teddy that he would be the only QB in that class, so don't say RS was "recruiting" Brisset because that is a lie. Brisset himself even said Shannon never recruited him.
