I do wonder what a 0-17 season where Miami not only loses all of their games, but gets blown out in almost all of them does to the fan base.

  • Passed on Drew Brees, twice
  • Spent 3 first round picks, 2 second round picks, and 1 third round pick between the 2002 - 2005 seasons on the running back position
  • Spent 5 second round picks in six seasons (2004 - 2009) on quarterbacks, with only one lasting longer than two seasons
  • Passed on Matt Ryan

I don’t think Holmes, Wilson, Mensah, Fletcher, and a few others would fall that far, but overall, I like your mock draft.

Sully has said he wants more draft capital and wants to build this team through the draft, so I’m interested to see how aggressive Miami is in adding picks.

A few things I want to see:

• Trade Austin Jackson
• Completely rebuild the DL. This has to be one of the worst defensive lines I’ve ever seen the Dolphins have.
• Draft another WR. Duff, Smith, or Becker would be my preference.

We are also going to have a lot of money for free agency - Let's see what we do there.

Since we’re going to build through the draft and veteran high price acquisitions can nuke that process, I’d like to see them use that space on their own resigns. But the problem is, they don’t have enough people to resign to absorb that cap.

Alternate strategy - take on an onerous contract via trade. Keep him on the bench afterwards, or release him. Target a player with two years left. And take on this onerous contract because the other team is willing to offer draft picks for it. Become a clearinghouse for bad contracts in 2027 and possibly 2028, in exchange for draft choices.
 
No way the Phins will take that many Canes in a draft...or any probably. I feel bad for Achane. Just wild how **** they've been for so long in such a market
