The Golden Staff from a Parents Perspective

I was impressed with the UM staff for assembling the mass that it did this weekend. They were able to assemble a great group of kids together for the Junior Day. And if you paid attention like I was trying to you could see them working the kids they wanted. However what impressed me the most was how they used other kids to sale their product. Example – Golden had Cager, Mullins and Bruce taking a photo together. On the other side of his office I had Shaq taking a picture with Patrick Bethel, Zach and Mike… Golden looks up and says to Bruce and that group… ‘Look over there… those are the guys that’s gonna get you the ball back… and then brought that lot over to have a photo with all of them in it. When they finished with the photo… they all stood there a mingled with one another… I know he was selling and telling them all what they wanted to hear… I was too strong for the Jedi Mind Trick … (No offense Jedi). But was surprised to see how effective it worked on them… Maybe it was the moment of that day… and everybody goes home and de-commit… But for that moment… I was like it could happen and was extremely excited.

I think dont anybody questions Golden in this area. Hope he can get it fixed. Thanks for the info & good luck to your son next season
 
Great stuff. Nice to hear positive reviews from recruits parents. Looking forward to sitting in my new seats at Sun Life watching your son play in my beloved Orange and Green. I always support the young men who pull on the U. Thank You and good luck to your son.

If Al had Butch's staff with three future NFL HC on it and let them coach the O and D, then he would indeed be the CEO we need. BUT we won with Larry and enough NFL talent to fill a couple teams, so with the way 2016 is looking maybe, just maybe the talent will overwhelm the coaching and bring home an NC.
 
OP have you ever specifically asked Golden about or scheme and why he doesn't play more traditional Miami defense? Which is shooting into the back field from the DL and aggressive coverage? I don't care whether from a 3-4 or 4-3. But we can clearly see our DL is gap control

Not to Coach Golden but i was talking with Coach D with the trio right in front of us and slipped and said that would be a great 4-3 trio...And he was like yes they will make a nice set ... i think he was talking more recruiting and not scheme...With AQM back McCord is going to LB
 
Golden gets an A in political correctness but that's not enough to make him the man for the job here.

McCord going back to SAM makes this LB core a lot stronger. McCord and Owens at SAM allows a guy like Terry McCray more time to develop and find the best fit between SAM & MLB.

Nobody questions him in what area? No, nobody questions his talent at letting the very best of the best S. Fl. talent get away. Great, he can manage a freakin BBQ, but UM sits in the most talent rich area of the USA and your boy can't land a top 10 class and last I checked, folks winning Nat. Titles and beating UM's *** with Golden's whiffs.
