Took you long enough. We are what we are. Richt averaged 10 wins a game at Georgia. Had 1 10 win season out of 3 at Miami and fans wanted him out on his rear. Fan expectations at Miami are like UNC fans wondering why they can't win a National Title. The only difference is, their coach actually won one.

miami’s issue isn’t fan expectations but rather an admin that doesn’t give a shot about the program

Name me one year Miami admin gave a SH$t about the program! Sure as **** wasn't Tad Foote hiring his lawyer friend to be the AD, or when he butted heads against JJ. UM admin has never, and never will care about this program. Admit it and accept it.
 
Ohio State was able to hold onto their likely HOFer coach(Tressel), then had the money and support to go out and hire someone like Urban Meyer, then was able to find someone to keep it going in Ryan Day. Ohio State is uniquely positioned to win, and win consistently mostly because they've been doing it on a consistent basis for most of the last 70 years.

It's almost like our fanbase forgets that schools like Ohio State, Alabama and OU have little down periods, and then have huge runs mostly because they have the resources to keep hiring the best, and eventually one of those hires will work out.

Or, you are realizing that college football has changed drastically and a school like Miami can't continue to rely on Moneyball to win, when the sport is wealthy teams swamping everyone. Miami football in the Decade of Dominance was the ULTIMATE startup. The problem is that through changing times and self inflicted wounds, it's borderline impossible to sustain long term dominance when you aren't able to hold onto talent or spend like drunken sailors. There's a reason that despite his ideas changing baseball and sports forever, Billy Beane doesn't have a ring. When you are working with limited resources in a sport where richest team usually wins more often than not, you can be behind the 8 ball.

Can Miami become a nationally relevant program again? Yes, but it's going to take a LOT of things to go right, and some major changes in the way the AD approaches the program(IE, think outside the box, look for undervalued assets, build in the method of a startup). Miami hit on 4 consecutive coaches in a 20 year span. Most of these programs are able to keep their legit hires for decades, which means the machine keeps rolling.

Are you really this stupid? Seriously, I wanna understand how a grown adult doesn't understand the difference between ENORMOUS PUBLIC SCHOOL and TINY PRIVATE SCHOOL.

Where do you think the money is gonna come from genius? That t-shirt you bought in '03?

Dude, this isn't it. This is a rational, logical viewpoint based on reality. None of that works here.

You can only assume Miami, as a small, private school, has limitless financial resources comparable to enormous, state-funded institutions. Then, you have to blame "the administration" for not wanting to win. Even though you can't name anyone except Blake James or Julio Frenk, let alone their actual roles. If you understand there are Trustees, you blame them, for giving piles and piles of their own money to The U, because they "don't want to win." And don't forget, these Trustees, Administrators and even students owe the fans something. Because....? I haven't figured that one out yet, but some reason.

To be a 'Canes fan in this day and age, you have to be absolutely blind, entirely clueless, and constantly screaming your ignorant opinion.

You’re a moron. No one said anything about comparing budgets. There is no comparison. However, OSU prioritizes having successful athletics, and manages them almost as pro’s. Miami doesn’t. It is a Mickey Mouse run Athletic Department.

But carry on with the narrative that Miami has no money. You’re a broken record player and no one is buying your stupid argument, as I know for certain Miami has the budget to be competitive. Just ask Temple. Unfortunately, our idiot AD went all in with Diaz in his 30 minute nationwide search, losing millions of dollars that could have been invested back to the program. How can we afford that If we don’t have money? Ask Adidas how much they pay us. Ask the ACC what we make. But, yeah....Miami has no money...
