Yes it was. He could have actually caused a fumble, while the opposing team didn't have a shot at catching him. You yell at him to get down, and if he doesn't get down you look for someone to block. It was a dumb play for the guy not to go down on his own. It was even more dumb to tackle him, which could have resulted in a fumble.

First year at UF. You have to lay down the law in a memorable way. You can't let the inmates even think they can run the asylum. It always amazes me how many talented athletes can't seem to use their heads.

Maybe when a guy does something dumb he should give them an ice cream cone to ensure they keep doing it 5 years later
 
Ain't nothing wrong with that. They aren't kids. If it was high school I might expect a coach to tone it down.
 
He would have scored if the guy blocked the closest guy. No way ecu would have had a chance. As a dlineman, score, end the game.

maybe or he could've taken his own advice and talked to him as a man instead of demented old person
