I read an article this morning on the influence of Dabo Swinney on coaching.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney is building an unofficial coaching tree -- and others are finding success emulating "the Dabo Way."

And, that’s what ADs seem to be looking for; but an unlikely coach (according to media and CIS), has been doing a good job ever since he was named interim head coach…for USC. His name is Ed Orgeron. Everyone here seems to see him one way but,
After his experience at Ole Miss, Orgeron decided to approach his second stint as a head coach differently. Instead of resuming the intense aggressiveness he had used as a defensive line and head coach, he used a different approach this time. Orgeron applied behavioral techniques he had used on his own teenage children, in an effort to approach his USC players "like my sons".
And look at LSU now. And look at their offense (remember he dumped Canada after a year). Their defense; he got and kept Aranda. Their recruiting.
Coaches don’t always suck forever; they can get better and learn from their mistakes. However, if you had to rank self-awareness in Manny Diaz, Mark Richt and Ed Orgeron, most of the geniuses on this board would have put Orgeron in a very distant 3rd. Yet, Orgeron made the moves that would make his football team better, and he didn’t hesitate.
I’m hoping Manny can have an immediate moment of clarity because I don’t root for Miami to lose. Ever. But, if the next up is Cristobal, then hopefully he‘s grown enough as a head coach to bring in the right staff like Orgeron did. That’s what good coaches do. Manny has to decide if he is, or wants to be a good head coach. If he has issues with Dabo, he might want to look at Orgeron.
