Like the 97' class there are bumps and bruises and we are taking some hits but these kids will be locked and loaded by the time they are Jrs/Srs. Richt HAS to supplement this class with strong classes this year and in 2018 or this is all for nothing. And they will wash out like the infamous 2008 class did because we didnt have any good classes following that one. The core of this freshmen class has some NFL players on it. Hope we dont waste it.

The freshmen are a positive I agree. Maybe Richt will do better once he has all his players in place. With that being said Richt has not done a good job at adjusting his system to fit Golden's players. Maybe it's short term pain for a long term gain where he's sacrificing a win or two this year to gain extra wins in later years. At least I hope.

Freshmans class is awesome. Mostly Folden recruits/evals. Let's hope Rix can do better than Folden with the 2017 class and beyond.

Having said that, we here this same **** about the future and the freshmans class almost every year around this time. Our last few freshmans classes, who everyone hates now, we're getting the same plaudits previously.

This whole team is stacked with some exceptional players. The now should be bright too.

the 2008 class was talented but it was heavy in certain positions, not balanced. we had like 10 wr's lol.

GuYS, gUyS, it's all about the trenches and foxholes. Miami doesn't have any good young Olinemen.

This is true and OL is probably the most difficult position to come right in as a true freshman and excel. Except for OL, we're going to greatly improve next year with this youth movement getting so much PT already.

You know it starts with O and D line, then the QB.
Unfortunately we don't have exceptional players in 2 of those 3 position groupings.

They can't miss on their evaluations!!!! We gotta fill the needy positions, OL, More OL, WR, DB and another Olineman, with top notch "producers" as opposed to star ratings. I don't if it's my misjudgement, but I see a lot of teams playing well with lesser regarded OL and DB's. We need quality numbers. This come back ain't happening unless the next two classes are stacked.
