Some wins define a program. In our case, the loss to FSU was an equally defining moment.

IMO that loss was a program apocalypse that will take years to recover from. That night, we witnessed two Miami teams, one that we recognized -the players we know, watched or coached in SFL and the other that we have seen on the big stage - from the close of last year to Lville (x2), the GT game and the close of this season.

If you find a way to make timely adjustments and win that game:

1. You knock off the most hated but covered playoff caliber team in CFB and hand Winston his 1st loss.
2. You protect the U's 34 game win streak while gutting their streak and season. Instant connection to those teams when the U2 airs.
3. You land a few game changing recruits who now KNOW it's real, that it's more than vague memories and rhetoric.

The post-apocalyptic reality:

That loss which led to the Pitt, VA losses, magnified every negative trait, issue, schism and void in this program. Do fans have a seat at the table now that the "guaranteed" ACC $$ seems to have emboldened the admin? Blake says yeah we're 6-6 but 1/2 the teams who play lose so from here until we say otherwise, we'll manage your perspective. Through misinformation, even the players are stating (at least on the record) that we, the fans, are "noise" or "don't have a clue".

Zo Highsmith has been a good soldier. What do you think he was told by admin (with all that guaranteed ACC $$) that made him publicly announce that we are at a cross roads and have to raise $ to make facility improvements ourselves?

Recruits are the life-blood of any program. Any buzz right now? What program can lose 2-3 All-ACC type players per year for 2-3 years from its backyard and not be affected? Anyway, just like ya'll, I have more questions than answers.

Maaaaaaaan! Let's be sad about this later. First let's get sad that Golden isn't going to Wisconsin, THEN we'll come back to this.

The sickening UL, NU and GT losses had NOTHING to do with Free Shoes, and are as indicative of the state of the program as the late season disaster.

Forget everything else, all that matters at this point is that Golden has to get the **** outta here. If he had won the fsu game and then the following games, who knows, we might be stuck with him a couple more years. In light of that, losing that game might be the best thing that could have happened to us.
