Watched some of Houston and Texas Tech and TT got them by a hair at the end. I looked up Fritz’s background (66-year old Houston coach who won 10 games last year in season 2 there), and this is what I found as a HC:

1. All time winning percentage leader at Blinn JUCO
2. All time winning percentage leader at Central Missouri
3. All time winning percentage leader at Sam Houston State
4. (In only 2 seasons, though) top 3 winning percentage at Georgia Southern
5. Tulane number 2 in wins (not top 5 in winning percentage) but last several years before taking the Houston job he has several double digit winning seasons in a row.
6. Again last year at year 2 in Houston 10 wins and taking playoff team TT to a hair at the end.

How does a guy like this have so much success program after program, regardless the level/geography, etc as a head guy and not until nearly his mid 60s finally get a job like Houston? This would have been a very good hire for a school like FSU the time they hired Norvell. By year 7 like Norvell rb eg would have been a much stronger program by now.
