An agent for a recruit that was once rumored to Miami said everything changed financially when Miami went back to the table with Cantwell after Georgia came further into the picture. Guessing we upped his offer to oblivion after he pushed his date back…. because Mario couldn’t lose a recruit on the OL. Ruined the rest of the class.

Just my assumption.

If that’s the case Cantwell better be a top 10 pick in 3 years

Let them ******* go. Fook em
Nothing new there. Do you know how many boys from Dade and Broward that missed out on our 5 National Championships?
Big Dogs too…fook em its going to happen again
Miami will rise from the ashes like the Phoenix 🐦🔥 and you complaining *** Karen’s on here will be swearing you were behind Mario the entire time.

One day our fans will realize to stop hiring coaches from failed regimes.

This is myopic. Diaz might had been captain of a sinking ship but Lashlee was not the cause. He was the one who was able to turn an offense from one of the worst to top 26 in consecutive years. Diaz was totally lost on defense. The HC sets the strategy for recruiting and hires the staff. I would have hired Lashlee to be HC on a short deal. First, it keeps continuity and lets Miami build on the part that worked (the offense) instead of having to start over on both sides of the ball. Second, I would want to more from Mario as a HC before making an enormous financial commitment . He went from getting fired from FIU to a staffer for Saban, to a HC who had earned a reputation (warranted or not) as a bonehead. He wasn’t going anywhere.

he told him to make changes, he would agree then do what he wanted. I really dont know. it clearly wasnt loyalty, he was getting fired regardless.
I dont think we had anyone with experience play calling.
lol wut?

If this is true, Mario is a total fraud and should be shown the door today. Blatant insubordination and he allows it. Roflcoptor.

How you do anything I guess.

I think we agree on A & B, not on C. I respect your opinion. SC will probably go 8-4 this year. Finish in top 3 for recruiting. My point is this is a rapidly professionalizing sport. Whether the best analogy is premier league soccer, mlb or the nfl as far as $$ is concerned idk. But the fact is, like any business it comes down to management. And what I am trying my best to articulate is ours sucks. And until we have a real GM and real structure we’re ****ed. With mario I don’t see that changing. I hope we have a magical season, I will never root against us

We’re poorly run, period, end of story. If you don’t think not taking a knee vs GT doesn’t translate across the operation, I have some beach front property in Iowa to sell you
There’s no reasoning with him regarding this corch and staph.

Love cantwell but much rather have a well rounded class than be hamstrung now because one guy is taking up 50% of the money, don’t know Miami’s money situation but that’s what it feels like is happening

That’s eerily similar to what was said about Coker, Shannon, and Diaz. Another first-time head coach is not what we needed.

I agree with the second half, I just hope the university maintains that financial commitment moving forward, regardless of the politics of a head coach search.

A successful season will clean this up on the back end but it misses the point.

The program is still ran like an intramural club.

Allowing people like this Dennis character to be involved. Same as shapiro.

Tolerating annual Flea Market quality BS from Adidas.

Interviews in front of chainlink fences with lawnmowers or construction noises through 4+regimes now.

Misusing industry experts like Highsmith.

An absentee Athletic Director.

Hiring the most problematic coaches and coordinators imaginable.

Zero development or actual regression at every position except O-Line. Relying on Portal additions instead of playing highschool recruits.

Finding unique and novel ways to lose games every single year.

Refusing to adapt to anything and watching the wheels fall off at the end of the season.

Mario is a position coach and chief recruiter. He's not a head coach and shouldn't be allowed to make decisions.

He's a simpleton who doesn't understand the nuance of the game and will never take the program to the post-season.

There is no accountability at the program. Mario needs to leave.
