The fan's voice

This post is a joke right

No. These ego maniacs are dead serious... They are the reason why the team has performed well.. You can't make this stuff up.

So explain the change in style of play and defensive philosophy. You dont think Golden changed anything?

The biggest adjustment hasn't been on defense. It's been on offense. We have pounded the ball relentlessly, and effectively limiting the exposure of the defense. Can we do that against the better teams though??

Possibly but if you cant tell the defense is completely different in these blowout wins Im not sure what to tell you. I dont think it was the banner but you can be **** sure the heat coming from all angles made a SIGNIFICANT impact on this team. Just win baby

Does anyone doubt the fan's displeasure made a difference in what we have seen over the last 3 games?

Once things got real hot, Golden knew he had to do something fast. His job and his best friend's job were on the line. Regardless of what people say, the heat from the fans, media, banner, former players, empty seats, etc all had an impact on Golden and Blake James.

The fact he made those retarded shirts about Ignoring the noise tells you the noise was getting to him. Lots of dummies think you will make a difference by sitting on your hands watching a coach try the same failing scheme four years in a row. Once the noise began it took little time for changes to occur. So while Golden cultists get all hot and bothered by threads on this site or banners, or twitter accounts or people not donating or going to games, as you can see it is effective.

Never allow a coach to feel he is immune to criticism or accountability.

I'm not saying the pressure hasn't had an impact on the team. It has. And IMHO some of that pressure is internal which is a good thing. They need to keep it going. As for different defensive philosophy, they just aren't doing much differently schematically. On the goal line stand that should have been were it not for Hertelou's facemask, on at least one of those plays Perryman was lined up more than 8 yds off the line of scrimmage and came up and dropped the back for no gain. The difference was in how the player read the play, not the scheme there. Not saying the scheme is worth a ****. Just saying I don't see much different schematically. The players are making plays though. My take is it's stupid to run a defense this complex when you have limited practice time to install the **** thing per NCAA rules.

This man gets it.

I'll tell you what happened to this team. Carter Hucks happened. Never underestimate the power of perspective.

Boulschitt!!!! Watch the defensive line in the first half against UNC...then watch the defensive line in the first half against Gag tek.

Trust your eyes. Frog or no frog?

We been in the top 25-30 in defense all year im confused.... Did people not expect the team to do better we started the year with a true frosh qb without 2 lb and aqm ... Were going to get better obviously

The changes on defense can't be a direct result of the offense holding onto the ball more. If that's the case how do you explain this? For three and a half years, the defense came out playing the prevent from the very first play, before having a chance to get worn out. Lately they've been aggressive from the first play. That's about as obvious a schematic change as you'll ever see, regardless of the coach speak.

not that i have a dog in the fight but golden gets blamed for losses and you take credit for the wins, thats a pretty big horse you got there

don't even try it even the announcers said this look more like a Miami d pressing and attacking the qb. They said its a more of attacking D and the pressure must of helped out on the D changes

Folden's cult is back! These sissies have been hiding behind his hedges peeking in his window whacking off to little peeps of Folden's muffin top since the GT debacle. Now, they're fully emboldened by a whipping of a 3 win UNC team, and they are back!

these wins weren't very impressive.

it is just a result of our O line outweighing and being more athletic than the tiny D line at UNC and VTech.

we probably won't be able to do that against FSU or even UVA.

even if we were to beat FSU, question has to be asked: where was this against Louisville, Nebraska, and GTech?

and that question must be answered with some coaching changes.

Doubt it? **** yes. Not only do I doubt it I laugh may *** off at those who make the claim.

Exactly. NVA Cane and the Banner Boys have little-man syndrome. They are so impotent and invalid in real life they have to pretend they are changing the course of UM football with their petty tantrums. It's actually pretty funny.

This. I guess we should be having parades because we are finally beating the teams we should beat.

The biggest difference I've seen on defense is improved tackling and players actually playing in their positions. The scheme hasn't changed, but once the players begin showing the maturity to play their role and do their jobs, the coaches can unleash them more because there is more trust. No different than allowing Kaaya more freedom once he began proving himself. Even Perryman has made comments about players now doing a better job of doing their job.

Start cutting up the ticker tape! We beat a 3 win UNC team with the worst defense in football and the worst VT team I've seen since Flubberneck's first year or two.
