The fan's voice

Does anyone doubt the fan's displeasure made a difference in what we have seen over the last 3 games?

Once things got real hot, Golden knew he had to do something fast. His job and his best friend's job were on the line. Regardless of what people say, the heat from the fans, media, banner, former players, empty seats, etc all had an impact on Golden and Blake James.

The fact he made those retarded shirts about Ignoring the noise tells you the noise was getting to him. Lots of dummies think you will make a difference by sitting on your hands watching a coach try the same failing scheme four years in a row. Once the noise began it took little time for changes to occur. So while Golden cultists get all hot and bothered by threads on this site or banners, or twitter accounts or people not donating or going to games, as you can see it is effective.

Never allow a coach to feel he is immune to criticism or accountability.

So by this logic, you believe golden has turned the corner. Got it slurper.

Also aren't u the one who claims our wins aren't ****, that we beat scrub teams and Louisville isn't the same crap team we lost too. Now u want to twist around and pat ur self on the back cause we won a couple of games. What happens if they lose to fsu and Virginia. Will u come back and say the banner didn't do ****? A little recency bias going on here to me

Goddam what OP wrote is the stupidest **** I've ever heard.
Of course you would think so. You're the biggest Golden **** sucker there is. Golden could **** your mom in front of you, *** on her face and you still would never speak up.

wow.. you madz Lol

So if you believe what you say, why didn't the heat brought by fans help Shannon turn things around?
He kept making staff changes and he still failed. How does that have anything to do with the subject at hand. Coaches make changes when things get bad, when fans, the media, former players etc start voicing their displeasure. Golden started to experience that and made a change to how his defense plays. How anyone can disagree or not see that is down right mind blowing.

Difference between making changes and turning the corner. Its a good sign, but lets beat a solid team before we say we've turned the corner.

Ok, so what have u accomplished then to pat ur self on the back for. There was no banner for duke and they played aggressive and won. First Banner flew against cincy.

Something changed. If you are a real Cane that watches the games you know what you are looking at.

We are passing the Eye Test now. We weren't until Cincy.

Them's the facts.

Could be that a high paid experienced head coach at a big time program like the U saw a banner in the sky. Then he did some reading on the web and started reading posts from die hard fans that wanted him fired. After all that, it dawned on him that he better change his approach....

More likely, he did exactly what many of you say he is incapable of doing; he made adjustments.

I am hopeful that the U can beat FSU in large part because I will be there cheering for this team. The icing on the cake will be reading the meltdown on this board of all the AG haters who will be apoplectic that he deserves NO credit should that happen.
Yes he did make changes, and the reason is cause his seat was getting hot.

Hey guys Muschamp fired his OC during the off season cause their fan base, media, their former players, etc were all quite happy with the gators winning 4 games. He made the change for ***** and giggles.

Its a message board where we discuss the program. Our team suddenly improving is a legit topic of discussion. And it wasn't just the banner. Things got bad from the Bowl game. Team came out to play against UL, **** the bed and things got real bad after the first game of this season.

Things were holding on until Vag tek last year. Then it all fell apart.

This is the best we have looked in a LONG time. Anyone saying there haven't been schematic changes since Gag tek is full of ****.

Did everyone forget the Barry Jackson articles pointing out one horrible statistic after another. PBuch going in on Golden, the articles of how former players weren't happy, so on and so forth. Suddenly players are wearing ignore the noise shirts, but yeah all of that didn't have an impact. The Golden excuse making is off the charts with some of these guys.

I don't think it's abnormal for a coach to feel pressure from an AD, the board of trustees, etc. and the fans certainly make an impact by not going to games and vocally criticizing. At the same time, coaches have expectations, feel disappointment, and make adjustments. I don't think OP is wrong, but he does shift too much of the credit to the complaining fans.

Believe your own eyes. Things have changed. Thank goodness for the better.

Does it really matter why things seem to have changed? The criticism, which has been well deserved, certainly didn't hurt.

But not because they were ranked 120th in offense two years in a row.

This post is a joke right

No. These ego maniacs are dead serious... They are the reason why the team has performed well.. You can't make this stuff up.

So explain the change in style of play and defensive philosophy. You dont think Golden changed anything?

Ya I don't understand either. We've been giving up 200+ yards rushing to literally everyone up until recently.

All of sudden the defense is aggressive and jacking up the RBs.
