3 straight bad games

... three straight garbage games where the offense played like garbage and didn't help the cause.

Nor did the defense choking away opportunities. Bandy's whiff at Pitt, guys not able to jump on the ball early against the Panthers—and doing it again twice last night. Defense in position to make plays and then guys not making the play; yet everyone is going to rail on the coach and call.

How far was Miami's offense really going to go down the stretch (without a bye since September) with Malik Rosier, Travis Homer, a spotty offensive line, using Deejay Dallas in gimmicky fashion, relying on underclassmen receivers—and going at Clemson without Herndon or Richards.

This Miami team was lucky to get to 10-2 and win the Coastal this year. Headed to the Orange Bowl and a year ahead of schedule; year two under Richt 2.0. Anyone complaining has a short memory regarding where this program was over the past dozen years.

g**** excuse machine ramping up. PLEASE comment on the god awful CAREER games these QB's are putting up against our Defense on the regular.

You can be a realist without being a g**** blind homer. Diaz and his game plans (most of the year) have been sub par. He does an outstanding job of adjusting and settling in BUT out the gate he's getting schemed to death. If you can't see that then jesus.

FYI: Our offense sucks donkey balls, not justifying their performance.

We were a 7-4 team without this defense.


The entire team wore down after the two big games (VT & ND), both of which were won, due in large part to the defense. The lack of a bye week is a much bigger issue than folks realize.

We'll see what the result is in the bowl after a months rest. If we get trucked then, I'll gladly see this excuse disappear into the abyss.

If we come out and roll and some of our concerns are addressed, then maybe.

Every team is beat up at the end of the year.

First we used our two weeks off due to Irma as a DISADVANTAGE because we were rusty.....then a few short weeks after Irma killed us because of the lack of a bye week has us wore down.

Reading the game day discussion thread throughout the season has seen every coach fired and every player benched. Although, in fairness, most all of those firings and benching only lasted for a quarter or two and then the self-proclaimed football geniuses would rehire the coaches and put the benched players back in the game(s).

Thank God that none of the geniuses have any power over the football program or the entire program would be in shambles.

So, go ahead and hate, because that makes you feel better about yourselves. And as always...please apply the stringent grading system that you apply to our coaches and players to your business and personal lives. Good luck with that!!

By the way; with all of the new head coaching fills some of you Rhodes Scholars may see your dream of Diaz leaving the program come to fruition, because those who truly know the fantastic job Diaz has done for UM's football program will with 100% certainty be contacting his agent to determine if he would entertain an offer, thus he might leave. Yes, I know, that would make you happy as it would give you a new coach to hate and attack.

For those who understand what they have been watching…I know you, like me, are thrilled with the direction of Richt & Company. Our upcoming major bowl appearance (after almost a month to rest, rehabilitate and improve after a brutal season with no bye week) is yet another opportunity for this great group of coaches and players to show the nation that…THE “U” IS BACK!!!

Diaz should get fired ASAP!!! What kind of D-Coordinator can't figure out how to establish a running game, fix the O-line, and transform Malik Rosier into an accurate passer?!?! Get rid of this bum like yesterday!!! If he can't figure out how to make the O and D click, then he's the worst defensive coordinator of all time!!!!

Excellent points! You know...prior to your post I hadn't blamed Diaz for the obvious problems he has caused, which you so elegantly point out. FIRE DIAZ! FIRE DIAZ! FIRE DIAZ!

I love this...let's fire the whole **** coaching staff and appoint the geniuses on this board to run the program, because we would NEVER lose a game and even further, every game we would hold opposing offenses to minus 150 yards and our offense would gain well over a 1000 yards.

And most importantly, our new bloggers/coaches would NEVER-EVER make a mistake.

No adjustments to all their dink passes. That’s all they did. Their passes, when executed properly will always be caught. But there’s no reason our guys couldn’t be in position to make them pay for it after the fact. It just never happened

Manny plays too much ZONE, and he seems to dial up his blitz packages at the WRONG TIME during the game.

The bottom line: Miami ALLOWED too many third down conversions in the first-quarter, and that allowed Clemson to gain control of the game, and this generated too MUCH Clemson team confidence and what not. Not that mighty Clemson had that comfortable, secure confidence going into the championship game. hUh.

Our secondary is not that bad.

Bandy, JJ, Delaney, Young, Jackson have all looked really good at times. This is not an issue with the secondary talent. It's an issue with Diaz and his schemes, specifically his zone crap.

We wait too long to show our nickel and dime formations, and thus we pay the price for.

Yup. If our secondary was lacking in skill and ability, Clemson would have thrown deep balls last night. Our DBs were lost and confused last night which led them to be less aggressive

Bandy, smith, and carter will be very good.they are the kind of athletes we need. Dean and Delaney were overhyped which lead people to think we are better than we were. UVA wr's picked our DB's apart for 3 quarters. Last night they didnt have to go deep. Malek young has disappointed me. you will see the difference once storm 18 kids are here. s/o michael jackson for stepping up this year though.

I thought Malek Young was a 4.4 guy? In the Virginia game and this game he has been letting people get behind him and looks slow
