The Evolution of JJ Dunnigan's Game

I hadn’t realized Mario had made #26 a sanctified number since he got here. Only Amari Wallace, who was injured all year, has been assigned that number since he got here.

His first two years he also did that with number 1, but he has given that number out more recently to captains (Cam, Kiko, Toure and Toney) sans Jojo Trader.

The last number 26 we’ve had is Gurvan Hall before he transferred to Utah State.

I wish someone fly would wear #47. Would be cool to see Portis switch to #28 after Isaiah Taylor departs.

Portis wanted 28 but I guess Taylor didnt want to give it up.

The way he came down & filled the lane was very good play recognition from him.

A big part of playing Strongside Safety is Backside gap pursuit & he's already ahead of schedule in that department.

He's the size of a LB with the speed & the instincts of a Safety.

Big time flip stealing this kid outta Kansas.

It’s funny how some guys just look different out there. He’s one of them. The glide and instincts. Heck of a pull. And honestly a player that wasn’t super hyped up at signing day. (Compared to others)
 
I've rewatched him closely in both games and he's really impressive for a freshman. Would like to see him add 10 lbs in the off-season but he's **** good already.

Thought it was fascinating that Hetherman said he was committed to Kansas to play cornerback. Had no idea whatsoever, and makes me wonder how strong of relationship he built with Matt Birkett before flipping.
 
Processing speed and Athleticism off the charts. Seen it it on his hs tape, he was reacting and moving at a different speed than everyone
