The drive before halftime vs A&M

Dislike the conservative playbook and playing not to lose. It is gonna bite us more often than not.

Mario won’t change so just gotta live with it.

Obviously I’m not on the sidelines to know what is going on, but it sure seems like Dawson is slow getting his play calls in. Been an ongoing issue.

He admitted it. Said he froze. He **** the bed on the big stage. Biggest game of his life and he sucked.

Hopefully he gets his head out of hai *** before the o$U game cause he has to be much better for Miami to win.

100. He was so bad against A&M he prolly coaching for his job here next year against OSU. And I actually like Dawson, lol, but that game was an abomination from the OC.

UL maybe, SMU disagree. But I'm talking more about the clock management philosophy of the first 8 games, even those we won. Very different from post-SMU. I get the concern of a turnover given the wind and the passing and field goal kicker woes against TAMU. But I think we should have played with some tempo to get into scoring position, even if the calls were conservatives.

I am a fan of Dawson's and personally think he called a good game. I was even fine with the trick plays to shake things up and give TAMU something to think about. But that particular series was crap IMO.
In the SMU game we threw two game changing interceptions and dropped a pass in the end zone. You’re ignoring those things to play into the weird “tempo” narrative. Competence in the passing game = 12-0.

LOL, I didn't invent this "weird tempo narrative". It was a nonstop conversation across all of social media for weeks.

You act like our #1 draft pick didn't throw picks last year putting this on the QB. Beck was fine vs. SMU and it should never have gotten to overtime when he threw that second pick if we hadn't gotten too conservative.

We weren’t conservative when we were throwing interceptions and dropping touchdown passes. At no point did we get “too conservative”. In fact, if we had been more conservative by just pushing them around, we would have won the game. The tempo thing is fake and is disproven by even a casual glance at any time-per-play table.

If it is Dawson then that is who I blame. But I just assume the conservative gameplan is coming from the HC. Maybe I’m wrong. But I don’t think so.
Conservative game plan? This is why I think we have the dumbest fan base in America.

We only scored 10 points because we WEREN’T conservative. If we had simply run a boring game plan of running the ball, we would have won easily. Instead, we pulled out every trick play, none of which did a **** thing. They just kept putting us in 3rd and long.
