The Direction Miami Should Go With Adidas Unis

Vice unis would be cool. But in an all black colorway with some various vice colors. But I hate the tread garbage

I believe that our football program is becoming more modern, and so should our uniforms. Miami is a flashy city and our unis should reflect our city.

I realize the old-heads on this board love the throwback unis we wear now but majority of recruits do not, and believe it or not, uniforms play a factor in a recruits decision. "but Bama doesn't..." Well, yeah, but Bama also hands out major . We need any recruiting advantage we can get.

Under Nike we were innovators of uniform combinations. I believe we should go in the direction that Adidas has taken Louisville with their uniforms.

This is the second thread you've started on this exact topic.

It's not just Bama that doesn't give a **** about fashion uniforms. Literally every powerhouse program in the nation sticks to a classic combination with maybe an occasional 3rd combo they wear once a year.

Kids certainly don't give a **** either because none of the teams in the top 25 of 247's recruiting rankings have corny uniforms besides Oregon.

I love the Miami vice scheme for the Heat unis, not sure how that color palette/scheme would work on Canes Unis. That being said, I really think Miami should have uniforms or add elements to the current ones that highlight various parts of the city of Miami (like its Cuban heritage, shoes that reflect the works presented at Art Basel etc).

Helmets: Classic white, black matte, and one "flash" version (something like this, with a chrome "U" and no wings:



Jerseys: Orange, green, white, black, and "smoke" (http://uniformcritics.com/football/college/miami-hurricanes/2013-canes-the-u-smoke-gray-nike-unis/)

Pants: White, green, orange, black, and smoke.

Shoes: White, black.

That's over 100 combinations you can work with. Leave it at this, let the kids pick the combinations, and roll with it.

Yup, Ohio State wears a third uniform once a year. Just like Miami. Actually Miami has 4 uniform combos Orange, White, Green and Black.

Unis are something that nothing programs focus on. It's how Oregon actually got attention when they were no one.
